Aniimo New Region: Whisperwake Isles Early Look and Every New Aniimo

Aniimo’s new region is Whisperwake Isles, and nobody can enter it yet. ZakkuVerse explored it in the closed beta: Bubbeep’s Bubble Drift, an Omega Glameep, Coraliz for Earth squads, Gachapus’s jackpot and Malevsera’s Demonic State. Here is every new Aniimo he shows, checked against the launch build, with the one date the client gives.

Aniimo’s new region is Whisperwake Isles, an island region whose Aniimo are already in the launch build but which nobody can play yet. The only date anywhere is a locked, unnamed tile in the client reading New Region: Unlocks on 10/29, which means 29 October 2026 at 12:00 (UTC+8). The tile does not say which region it is: reading it as Whisperwake Isles is an inference, laid out in our Gachapus and Whisperwake Isles article, not something the game states.

ZakkuVerse explored the island in the closed beta and published what he found on 9 October 2026. Everything he shows is closed beta or pre-release footage, and he says so at 0:44: spawn locations, mechanics and numbers can all change before release. Launch figures come from the game’s own data files, build 1.0.0.7, checked 10 October 2026.

What is Aniimo’s new region?

Whisperwake Isles: a water region with a zone called Crescent Bay, its own currency and at least ten Aniimo you cannot catch anywhere today. The name is official. A notice of 23 July 2026 for the closed beta’s Bond Pact event lists the Aniimo that could not be sealed into eggs, and one line reads: Partial Aniimo from the Whisperwake Isles region: Cheekie, Wavwal, Reefish, Coraliz, Popapus, Gachapus, Bubbeep, Glameep, Malangel, Malevsera, etc. The full notice is in our patch notes archive.

0:10, closed beta footage. The beta’s own Island Aniimo Field Notes, opened on Reefish, the Lumin stage of the coral line. Nothing like this notebook exists in the launch client.

ZakkuVerse reads the same list at 0:50 (the captions hear Wavwal as “Wavewall” and Coraliz as “Corales”) and puts five of them on screen as clean renders.

1:00, from the beta. Top row: Wavwal, the blue walrus; Coraliz, the coral dragon; Gachapus, the octopus with a glass dome. Bottom row: Glameep and Malevsera, matched against the launch renders.

The launch build supplies the frame around those names. Every one of them is flagged unreleased in the Aniilog. Ten entries record Crescent Bay as their habitat, and Crescent Bay belongs to no region on the launch map: our regions hub lists it among the habitats with no outline. The build also carries strings for a Whisperwake Isles Branch, a separate Lumin Amber currency for the region, Whisperwake Coral, a Dewdrop Crystal and a First Visit event. Our Lumin Amber guide explains why Breezy Plains’ Wanderer’s Might stops at the water’s edge.

Two things are still missing: a release date that names the region, and a map. The developer interview in our roadmap article mentions three islands inside a second region and, separately, a water region with five islands plus a mysterious area. Nothing official ties either description to Whisperwake Isles.

Whisperwake Isles at a glance: Crescent Bay, sand and bubbles

Bright water, white sand, purple flower meadows and giant bubbles drifting overhead: ZakkuVerse’s first impression at 1:20 is the island, not the Aniimo. He calls it a summer holiday “until something eventually tries to kill you”, and asks for every region to have that strong an identity. The zone he names at 6:20 is Crescent Bay, the same zone AniimoSync’s beta map placed inside Whisperwake Isles at Lv.54~56. ZakkuVerse’s own squad sits at level 55 in most of the footage, which fits the band.

1:30, closed beta footage. A wild Bubbeep tagged New, hovering in its bubble over the purple flowers, with an Aniipod Mega in hand. A second bubble drifts past on the right.

The island changes with the clock. The footage moves from sunny meadows at 1:30 to a moonlit beach at 5:22 and a sunset coast of sea stacks at 6:46. One of the Whisperwake strings in the launch build is an ecology note about tides that go out at night and come in during the day, so the shoreline itself may move with the light. ZakkuVerse mentions “different weather interactions” without showing them, and at least one weather form is waiting: Reefish and Coraliz both have a Rainstorm Form, listed in our weather variants guide.

6:46, closed beta footage. The same coast at sunset: rock arches, orange grass and still water, with his own Bubbeep trotting behind the Pathfinder.

He is also clear that he held things back: more creatures, more evolutions and “different things hidden around Crescent Bay” that he chose not to film. The roster below is what he does show.

Every new Aniimo in ZakkuVerse’s video

Ten entries appear on screen, eight species and two extra forms, and all ten are flagged unreleased in the launch build. The last column gives the video timestamps.

Cheekie and Popapus are on the official list but never appear in this video, and neither does Reefish’s Rainstorm Form.

Habitats are where the launch files run thin. Reefish, Coraliz, Bubbeep, Prismana Glameep and Gachapus all record Crescent Bay. The basic Glameep, Malangel and Malevsera record no habitat at all, even though the beta finds all three on the island; the one zone recorded anywhere for Malevsera is Whisperwake Isles itself, with two spawn points. The spawn counts hint at what will be common: 97 points for Bubbeep, 25 for Malangel, 5 for Gachapus, 2 for Coraliz and 1 for the basic Glameep. None of them comes with coordinates, so there is nothing to pin on the interactive map yet.

How does Bubble Drift work?

Bubble Drift is Bubbeep’s mobility skill: it blows a large floating bubble, and in the beta ZakkuVerse rides inside it to reach parts of the island he could not walk to. The one-line description, Blows a large floating bubble, is the launch build’s. The riding is what the footage shows. Bubbeep, Glameep and Prismana Glameep all carry it, and no other Aniimo has a skill of that name.

Bubbeep’s Aniilog card in Aniimo’s closed beta: No.088, Basic Form, Lumin Stage, Water and Grass, with Heal and Bubble Drift badges
1:52, closed beta footage. The capture card: No.088, Basic Form, Bubbeep, Lumin Stage, Water and Grass icons, and two badges, Heal for its role and Bubble Drift for its traversal. The Level 52 counter top right is the Pathfinder’s, with Exp +300 from the catch.

The card’s flavour line is a small sign of how much the beta has moved. It reads It chews on algae leaves and blows bubbles, building itself a tiny safe house. The launch text is different: One light hop, and off it drifts, riding the bubbles like a little boat in the breeze. The launch version describes exactly what ZakkuVerse uses it for.

In combat Bubbeep is a healer. Its trait, Bubble Energy, stores up to 10 charges and spends them to boost Baa-Baa Healbubb, which heals every ally in range for 12% of Bubbeep’s Max HP over 6 seconds while it floats and moves. Baa-Baa Sweetbubb shields allies for 7.0% of Max HP for 10 seconds. Its base stats total 467, and our healer tier list already ranks it A, ahead of release.

2:07, closed beta footage. Bubble Drift in use: a giant bubble over open water, Bubbeep inside, and a Pop prompt on the right to burst it and drop out.

ZakkuVerse’s words at 2:00: Bubbeep “can basically blow this giant bubble that let your Pathfinder float around inside it”, and on this island “you need to master this bubble mechanic”. During the beta it was how he reached some of the new Aniimo. Then he turns it into a wish list for the whole game: Aniimo that open areas you could not reach before, secret caves, strange movement abilities, and catches that “unlock another layer of exploration”. That is his hope, not an announcement.

Glameep, Prismana Glameep and an Omega fight

Glameep is Bubbeep evolved: No.089, Grass and Water, Heal, Nova stage, with base stats totalling 540 and the same Bubble Drift. ZakkuVerse reaches it at 2:42 and describes it as an elegant forest sheep that knows it is better than everyone else. Its ultimate, Leafwave Bubble, raises the healing nearby allies receive by 15% for 30 seconds and heals Glameep for 21% of its Max HP.

Lv 55 Omega Glameep boss bar in Aniimo’s closed beta, the green leaf-feathered Glameep fighting ZakkuVerse’s squad in shallow water
2:45, closed beta footage. The boss bar reads Lv 55 Omega Glameep, Water and Grass icons beside it, fought in shallow turquoise water by a level 55 squad.

That frame settles something. On 19 September AniimoSync said Glameep was the region’s new Omega boss, and we could only report it as his claim. ZakkuVerse’s footage shows the bar itself. It is still a beta encounter: no Omega entry for Glameep exists in the launch build, and nothing in our events calendar mentions one.

Then the form ZakkuVerse likes more. Prismana Glameep re-types the body from Grass and Water to Dark and Grass, exactly as he says at 2:50, with the same stats and skills. The launch description: Prismana has transformed Glameep’s leaf-feathers into something clear and glass-like, while the golden branch on its head has grown into a crown.

3:00, pre-release beta footage, marked In-game footage, work in progress on screen. Prismana Glameep in photo mode: violet glass leaf-feathers and the gold crown. ZakkuVerse: “the entire thing just looks expensive”.

He rates it among his favourite Prismana designs and admits that is not a combat statistic. Crescent Bay is its recorded habitat, and it is the region’s Prismana in our Nurture and Prismana guide. The beta trigger AniimoSync filmed, Prismana Flow, is in our Gachapus article.

Coraliz, a support built for Earth squads

Coraliz is Reefish evolved: No.085, Earth and Water, Regen role, Nova stage, and its Rainstorm Form drops Water to become pure Earth. ZakkuVerse calls it the Aniimo that caught his attention most for squad building, and the reason is its trait. Overcharged Coral reads: When entering battle, restores EP for each Earth-type Aniimo in the party. Cooldown: 15s. The amount scales with its stats. His summary at 3:30 matches it.

3:30, closed beta footage. ZakkuVerse’s own Coraliz in its Rainstorm Form: blue and violet crystal spines instead of the pink coral of the render at 1:00. The skill bar reads REGEN and Control.

The rest of the kit is lockdown. Coral Trap (Might 67, 20 EP) sets a trap for 5 seconds that deals damage every second and adds a stack of Earth Debuff each time. Quicksand Slam (Might 28, 20 EP) applies [Imprisonment] for 2 seconds. The ultimate, Coral Prison (Might 70), hits a wide area, restores 30 EP and imprisons for another 2 seconds. Those are the “multiple ways to apply imprisonment” he mentions, and Coral Impact adds a Coral Mark that pays out extra damage for every Earth hit the target takes.

3:40, closed beta footage. A ring of coral spikes around a wild Lv.52 Reefish, with a hit marked 13, Not Effective. Coral Trap is a skill Reefish shares with Coraliz, and since the active Aniimo on his side here is Gachapus, this trap is most likely the wild Reefish’s own.

ZakkuVerse’s verdict is a squad idea, and it is his: Coraliz alongside Earth DPS such as Waleetle and Grizbo, the start of a full Earth squad that, in his words, “could use a little bit more support” today (the captions turn Waleetle into “Wo”, so that name is our best reading). The arithmetic is on his side: in a party of four Earth Aniimo, Coraliz included, the trait pays out four times per trigger. Check how your current Earth line-up holds up in the team builder and the tier list while you wait.

Gachapus: the gacha is the whole kit

Gachapus is a Water DPS at the Nova stage, No.091, evolved from Popapus, and every attack it makes spins a slot machine. ZakkuVerse’s description from 4:20 matches the launch text point for point. Each basic attack or skill rolls a bubble: orange hits an area, blue restores EP, purple adds damage, and gold, at a 1% chance, does all three. Five of one colour, or one gold, starts [Jackpot] for 10 seconds, with Rainbow Bubbles on every hit and basic attack damage up 60%.

4:22, closed beta footage. Gachapus with its head full of coloured bubbles. The vertical strip to its left is the slot bar that fills as it rolls; the skill bar reads Barrage and Buffs.

His reaction is the line most people will remember: somebody at Pawprint asked what would happen if the Aniimo itself was the gacha. He wants to play it for the design alone, whatever its tier ends up being. The ultimate, Super Jackpot, skips the dice and enters [Jackpot] at once.

We covered Gachapus in depth when AniimoSync filmed it, including the full skill table, the beta skill names that changed at launch and how its first form Popapus fits in. That is all in our Gachapus article, so it is not repeated here. What this video adds is Gachapus in a real fight, against the Omega boss above.

Our DPS tier list already places Gachapus in A: one of the highest ceilings in the role, held back by a rotation that stays random.

Malangel and Malevsera, the Ice DPS that spends its own HP

Malangel, No.092, is an Ice DPS at the Lumin stage that evolves into Malevsera, No.093, an Ice DPS at the Nova stage. ZakkuVerse calls Malevsera the Aniimo he is most excited about on the whole island. Malangel looks harmless at 5:13, which is the point: its launch description says it disguises itself with a cheerful smile before baring its fangs.

5:30, closed beta footage. The evolution card: Nova Stage, Malevsera ♂, DPS, an Ice badge marked L2, and Beneath that seemingly harmless appearance lies a secret. The launch description is longer and less coy, about freezing other creatures into ice sculptures.

The kit is built around missing HP. Its trait, Bloodthirst, adds damage for every 1% of HP lost, up to a cap. ZakkuVerse says the cap is 40%. Our DPS tier list printed 0.8% per 1% lost, up to 48%. The launch text holds neither number: both values scale with the Aniimo’s stats, so the two readings may simply come from different builds or different Malevsera. Treat 40% as his beta figure and 48% as ours until the region opens.

Demonic State is where the numbers are fixed. The launch text, word for word: [Demonic State] increases skill damage by 30% and changes skill cost to 10% of current HP. When the state ends, Malevsera deals damage around itself and restores HP equal to 30% of the damage dealt during the state, up to 50% of its Max HP, and after 6 skill casts, holding basic attack adds a 50 Might hit. ZakkuVerse’s “sacrificing your own health to keep attacking” is exactly that.

Malevsera in Demonic State in Aniimo’s closed beta, a blue blast on screen and the hint Malevsera is low in HP, try using Glacy to heal it
5:50, closed beta footage, from a different beta build. Malevsera mid-transformation, and the game’s helper suggesting Glacy to heal it: Malevsera is low in HP. Try using Glacy to heal it. The 62% is the Quick Catch chance on the wild target.

That hint is a neat summary of the play pattern: stay hurt enough to keep the Bloodthirst bonus, heal back with Demonic State or a healer such as Glacy, and avoid “turning yourself into a collectible”, as ZakkuVerse puts it. He expects Malevsera to get its own Pathfinder Trials episode to find out how far the risk can be pushed. That is his hope, not a scheduled episode.

How do you get to Whisperwake Isles?

You cannot yet. No route, ferry, quest or portal to Whisperwake Isles exists in the live game as of 10 October 2026. The one dated thing is the client’s Season Overview tile reading New Region: Unlocks on 10/29. Our season guide pins that to the maintenance on 29 October 2026 at 12:00 (UTC+8), the same one that starts Season 1 Part Two, after Part One closes at 07:59 (UTC+8). The tile shows beach art and no name.

ZakkuVerse’s video never shows the arrival, so it says nothing about how the island will be reached. What his footage does show is the island crossed by air as well as by bubble.

7:05, closed beta footage. Flying over the Crescent Bay coast at night, with red coral, yellow weed and tide pools below and the Exit, Up and Down prompts on screen.

Until a notice names the region, prepare with what exists: finish Season 1 Part One before it closes, and level a squad towards the mid 50s, where the beta footage sits.

What the beta shows and what is confirmed

Confirmed in the launch build or by an official notice: the Whisperwake Isles name and its Aniimo list (23 July notice); every entry in the roster table, its element, role, stage, evolution and skills; Bubble Drift on Bubbeep and both Glameep forms; Gachapus’s Gachapon and Malevsera’s Demonic State as quoted; a locked New Region tile for 10/29.

From the closed beta, and may change: that the 10/29 tile is Whisperwake Isles; the Pathfinder riding inside Bubble Drift; Omega Glameep at Lv 55; the Bloodthirst cap; the card texts for Bubbeep and Malevsera; level bands, spawn spots and which parts of the island are open. ZakkuVerse’s squad ideas and hopes are his own.

  1. How do you get to Whisperwake Isles in Aniimo?

You cannot as of 10 October 2026: no quest, ferry or portal leads there in the live game, and its Aniimo are flagged unreleased. The launch client shows a locked Season Overview tile reading New Region: Unlocks on 10/29, which falls on the 29 October 2026 maintenance at 12:00 (UTC+8). The tile does not name the region; reading it as Whisperwake Isles is an inference from the beta and the files. ZakkuVerse’s closed beta footage never shows how players arrive.

  2. Where is Coraliz in Aniimo?

Coraliz lives in Crescent Bay, a zone of Whisperwake Isles, and cannot be caught in the live game as of 10 October 2026. It is No.085, an Earth and Water Regen Aniimo at the Nova stage that evolves from Reefish, and the launch build flags both unreleased, with only 2 spawn points recorded for Coraliz. Its Rainstorm Form, pure Earth, is in the files too and is also unreleased.

  3. How do you get Malevsera in Aniimo?

Evolve Malangel, once Whisperwake Isles opens. Malevsera is No.093, an Ice DPS at the Nova stage, and Malangel, No.092, is its Lumin stage. Both are flagged unreleased as of 10 October 2026. The only zone recorded for Malevsera is Whisperwake Isles, with two spawn points, so it may also appear in the wild there; ZakkuVerse’s closed beta footage shows it evolving from Malangel.

  4. Where do you find Malangel in Aniimo?

Nowhere yet. Malangel is No.092, an Ice DPS at the Lumin stage, and the launch build flags it unreleased with no habitat recorded, though it lists 25 spawn points. In ZakkuVerse’s closed beta footage it wanders a moonlit beach on Whisperwake Isles, and the official 23 July 2026 notice names it among the Whisperwake Isles Aniimo.

  5. What is the next Aniimo update, and is there a 1.2?

No version 1.2 has been announced as of 10 October 2026. The update of 23 September 2026 was called version 1.1, Part I, and the 1 October Dev Feedback still speaks of more 1.1 changes to come, such as switching between unlocked Sparkling Hues. The next dated content is the 29 October 2026 maintenance at 12:00 (UTC+8), which starts Season 1 Part Two and unlocks the client’s locked New Region tile.
