How to Get to the New Island in Aniimo: Unlock Whisperwake Isles, Requirements and Every Quest
Whisperwake Isles opened on 29 October 2026 and the game does not tell you where to start. Karpo Gaming walks the whole route in one video: level 55, Trailblazer I, the Everlasting Echoback Song side story, A New Journey, the call from Dr. Lewis and the night swim from Echoback Landing. Every quest, check and reward, read against the game’s own quest tables.

To get to the new island in Aniimo, reach level 55 and Trailblazer I, finish the story section “A New Journey” in Bloomville, then accept the call that opens “A Song from the Sea”: it sends you to Echoback Landing and ends with a night swim that drops you on the shore of Crescent Bay, the first area of Whisperwake Isles. Karpo Gaming adds one more quest that he treats as a requirement, the side story “Everlasting Echoback Song”, and walks the whole route in an 8 minute 52 second video published on 29 October 2026, the day the island opened.
This page is the route. The island itself, its four areas and its new Aniimo are in our Whisperwake Isles guide. Quest names, level and title checks and rewards below come from the game’s data files of the 1.1 Part 2 client, checked on 2 November 2026, and every screenshot is Karpo’s footage with its timestamp.
How do you get to the new island in Aniimo?
You get there by finishing a chain of four quests in a fixed order, and the last of them is a swim that only works at night. Until it is done the game blocks the trip with a message that reads: “To travel to Whisperwake Isles, you must first progress the Story “A Song from the Sea”.” Every step of the chain passes through Echoback Landing, the whale-bone beach on the west coast of the mainland.
| Step | Quest or check | Where | In Karpo’s video |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Level 55 and the Trailblazer I title | Anywhere | 0:27 |
| 2 | Everlasting Echoback Song, a side story Karpo lists as required | Echoback Landing, at night | 0:41 to 6:35 |
| 3 | A New Journey, main story, chapter Rainbow of the Ground | Bloomville, Tideblossom Coast | 6:35 |
| 4 | The call, then A Song from the Sea | Echoback Landing, then the sea at night | 6:55 to 8:01 |
| 5 | A Strange Island, the first quest on the isles | Crescent Bay | 8:01 |
What do you need before the call comes?
Level 55 and the Trailblazer I title, both at once. The quest that fires the call lists them as its two objectives, “Promote to Trailblazer I” and “Reach level 55”, and the call itself is the next objective, titled “Dr. Lewis is calling”. Karpo says the same at 0:27. If you are short of either, our level cap guide lists what each promotion asks for. His own character sits at level 57 on the tracker at 7:35, on the way to Trailblazer II.
The story has to reach one particular step. “A Song from the Sea” only becomes available once “A New Journey” has been played as far as “Find Sunia at the square”, in Bloomville. That section closes the chapter “Rainbow of the Ground”, and the quest before it in the tables is the Tideblossom Coast story, which asks for level 50, the Wayfarer III title and the required quests of Elite Training chapter 5. A save that has never been to Tideblossom Coast is therefore several quests away from the isles, whatever its level.
Then comes the quest Karpo insists on, and here the video and the tables part ways. At 0:39 he says you must also complete “the Everlasting Echoback Song” before the call comes. In the quest tables traced for this page, “A Song from the Sea” asks only for the level, the title and the finished “A New Journey”; nothing there checks the side story. The game does point at it, though: one tracking entry reads “Try progressing the quest “Everlasting Echoback Song” first”, and a quest source jumps to it with the label “Complete the Everlasting Echoback Song Quest”. Do it. It takes one night-time visit, pays 15,000 Credits and puts you on the Echoback Landing beach at night, which is where the main quest sends you anyway.
Everlasting Echoback Song, step by step
The quest belongs to the chapter “The Legend of Echoback Landing” and its description reads: “A massive skeleton, a mysterious painter, and the sound of an Echoback song… What stories do the shores of Echoback Landing hold?” It runs for about five and a half minutes of Karpo’s footage, from 0:55 to 6:35, and has six beats.
- Talk to the mysterious painter. Sorora paints at an easel on the rocks at Echoback Landing. A cutscene titled “The Painter by the Sea” explains that he has lost his memories and hopes the Echoback legend will bring them back.
- Make it night. The next objective only runs after dark. If the time of day switch is still locked, the quest itself carries a step that tells you to progress the story until it opens; our time of day guide shows the wheel.
- Strike the echonite and discover the secret of the Echoback bones. Sorora’s line at 1:35 is the rule: “Legend says the blue crystals formed from Echoback bones are called Echonites. Activate them in the right order, and they’ll play back an Echoback song long lost to time.”
- Follow the light from crystal to crystal. Each struck echonite throws a beam towards the next one. Sorora comments as you go, at 3:05 “Hear how the Echonites’ resonance strengthens”, and at 5:00 “Look! Energy stirs within the whale bones!”
- Pick up the Whalesong Blossom. “A rare flower seems to have bloomed on the shore…” is the objective at 5:50. The flower is listed among the quest’s rewards.
- Talk to Sorora again. The cutscene “Echoback Song on Canvas” closes the quest: he finishes the painting, gives it to you and says your paths will cross again.
Karpo’s method, at 1:05, is to bring a Fire Aniimo to break the branches that block the way and any Water Aniimo to hit the crystals, then follow the crystals’ direction. That is his advice: the quest text on screen mentions no element. What the screen does show is beams of light running between the crystals along the shore. Sorora’s line says the order matters, and the footage never shows a wrong order, so what a mistake looks like is not known from it.
One detour appears by itself. While Karpo glides over the bay at 4:05 the game announces “Lumin Amber detected nearby”, and a timed Lumin Collection called Echoback Hop starts, with a counter that reads 2/11 at 4:25 and a countdown above it. It is optional and unrelated to the unlock, but the Lumin Amber it pays is worth taking while you are there; our Lumin Amber guide explains what it buys.
The blossom arrives near the end. The item card at 6:06 reads: “These flowers only bloom when they feel a sense of longing. Perfumer Elvira is looking for them to craft a legendary perfume.” That leads to a second quest in the same chapter, “A Fragrant Journey: Echoback Landing”, where you hand a Whalesong Blossom to Elvira; it is not part of the unlock.
A New Journey: leaving Bloomville, then the call
With Sorora done, Karpo opens the log at 6:40 and the main story has a new entry: “A New Journey”, in the chapter “Rainbow of the Ground”, at Tideblossom Coast. It reads “You are leaving Bloomville. Find Sunia at the perfumery and say goodbye”, and the target is “Go to the perfumery and look for Sunia.” In the tables there are two steps that matter: go to the perfumery, then find Sunia at the square. The second one is what opens “A Song from the Sea”. Everything else in the section is cutscenes, which Karpo skips.
The call arrives at 6:55 in the square, as a phone overlay with Decline and Accept. The subtitle that follows at 7:05 reads: “The expedition team has an urgent task that could use your help. Come to Echoback Landing as soon as possible.” The quest objective names the caller Dr. Lewis, and the subtitle labels the speaker Levi; both are in the game’s text, so do not worry if you see either. Accept, then open the map and teleport to Echoback Landing, as Karpo does at 7:20.
A Song from the Sea: the night swim
“A Song from the Sea” is a short quest with one hard requirement: it must be night for the last two objectives. The tables list it in this order:
- Go to Echoback Landing and meet Dr. Lewis and Nicole. A cutscene plays; Karpo skips it.
- Investigate the coast, investigate around the whale bones and investigate the distant sea surface. The three points open together and can be done in any order.
- Tell Nicole and Dr. Lewis what you found. At 7:35 your character’s line explains the next move: the Echoback song can be heard at night, so come back tonight.
- Switch the time to night.
- Investigate the sea at night, then approach the source of the singing.
The last two objectives are a straight swim. Karpo follows the marker out into the open sea at 7:45 and the tracker reads “Approach the source of the singing”. A short cutscene plays at the end, you skip it, and the next scene is the shore of Crescent Bay. At 8:01 he says this is the point where you are “finally at the brand new location”.
What opens when you wake up on Crescent Bay?
The game moves straight on to “A Strange Island”, whose first objective is “Wake up on the shore of Crescent Bay”, and from that moment Whisperwake Isles is yours to travel to. Karpo ends his route here, so the rest comes from the quest tables and from our Whisperwake Isles guide: find BINI #9, look for somewhere with a signal, collect the airdropped supplies and set up the Research Console, which enables Outpost teleportation. You then talk to a mysterious Aniimo, follow Lyrelle, leave the cave and return to the beach. The next chapter, “Secluded Seas”, has three sections: “On White Sands, Inside Bubbles”, “Visit Mirrorsea Village” and “Where All Waters Converge”, which ends at the Tide Pillar and the isles’ Branch.
The isles are four areas, Crescent Bay, Rosy Mirelands, Wildwater Gorge and Cloudreach Falls, and the game’s zone tables put the wild Aniimo of Crescent Bay at Lv.54 to 59, close to the level 55 gate. Every chest, Bloom and spawn is on our Whisperwake Isles map. Finishing “A Song from the Sea” also opens First Visit to Whisperwake Isles, the survey event that runs until 10 December 2026 at 03:59 server time. The Aniimo you will meet first are Bubbeep, Glameep and Coraliz; the rest of the roster is in the island guide, and our 29 October patch notes list what else came with the update.
Every reward on the way
The four quests pay out in full when they close. The figures are the fixed rewards in the quest tables; Karpo’s screens show the same icons and amounts for the two quests he opens.
| Quest | Safaris | Credits | Also |
|---|---|---|---|
| Everlasting Echoback Song | 1,000 | 15,000 | 30 Glimmer, 30 Sparkling Crystal, Whalesong Blossom |
| A New Journey | 1,600 | 50,000 | 10,400 Aniimo EXP, 2 Irisalis Petal, 10 Growth Fruit, 20 Aniipod Mega, Irisalis Armlet |
| A Song from the Sea | 2,000 | 50,000 | 10,400 Aniimo EXP |
| A Strange Island | 2,000 | 50,000 | 10,400 Aniimo EXP, 1 Echoes of the Sea, 10 Growth Fruit, 10 Aniipod Mega |
Added up, the chain is worth 6,600 Safaris, 165,000 Credits and 31,200 Aniimo EXP, plus the items in the last column. Safaris appear as the plain EXP icon on the reward row.
Where the video and the game differ
Karpo’s route is right and complete up to the swim. Five points are worth knowing before you follow it.
- The side story. He calls Everlasting Echoback Song a requirement; the tables traced for this page list only the level, the title and “A New Journey”. The game still points you at it, so treat it as expected, not as a hidden lock.
- Elements. His Fire and Water tip is his own method. The quest text names no element.
- The caller. The objective says Dr. Lewis; the call’s subtitle says Levi. Both names exist in the game’s text.
- Names. The auto captions turn Whisperwake Isles into “Whispering Weeds house” and Aniimo into “Anemo”. The screen says Whisperwake Isles, Aniimo and Tideblossom Coast.
- The arrival. His video stops at 8:01, so the steps on Crescent Bay are not in it.
