Aniimo System Requirements

The short answer: a GTX 970, an i7-4770 or Ryzen 7 2700 and 8 GB of RAM get you in the door on PC per the Steam listing, an RTX 3060 class card is the recommended tier, and the install needs 40 GB. Mobile needs an iPhone 11 (A13) or a Snapdragon 855 phone at minimum, iOS 16 or Android 10, and 18 GB of free storage, per Pawprint’s own spec sheet. Everything below is taken from the official Steam listing and the official notice feed, not estimated.

Where your graphics card lands

Minimum Recommended

The GTX 970 dates from 2014, so most gaming PCs from the last ten years clear the minimum. Neither Steam nor Pawprint’s sheet says which resolution or framerate a tier targets.

  • 8 GB gets in, 16 GB is the target

    The minimum asks for 8 GB of RAM; the recommended tier doubles it to 16 GB.

  • Online on every tier

    A broadband connection is part of both tiers, next to the 40 GB install, on an SSD if you can.

  • RTX for NVIDIA ACE, early 2027

    The planned ACE creature interactions run locally and will need an RTX GPU.

Aniimo on Linux, SteamOS and the Steam Deck

Aniimo has no Linux or SteamOS build, and Valve has not rated it for the Steam Deck. Playing there means running the Windows build through Proton: a community route, with community results.

Anything from Pawprint since launch on Linux or Proton
Nothing. All 44 notices in the official information feed were searched on 17 September 2026 and not one names Linux, SteamOS, the Steam Deck, Proton or Wine. The Fair Play Announcement of 11 September 2026 says only that the team will "continue to improve our anti-cheat systems", names no product and says nothing about operating systems.

The one answer the team has given on a Linux build
In the Dev Team Q&A of 14 January 2026, eight months before launch, the team said there are "no plans for a Linux build at the moment" and suggested Linux players "try the PC build", warning that support might not be the same. It reaches us through a player’s reproduction on the official Steam forum, because the Discord it was posted in is invite only, and it has not been restated since launch.

Whether the Windows build runs under Proton
ProtonDB rated Aniimo Gold on 17 September 2026 from 99 player reports, score 0.78, best reported tier Platinum. That is a player rating on a game one day old, not a support statement, and the reports themselves are not dated publicly.

What players change to make it run
GamingOnLinux, 17 September 2026: the newest Proton versions "will cause it to crash and be unplayable", so you "manually swap the version of Proton used down to Proton 10", and you may also need the default launch option rather than DirectX 12.

Which anti-cheat Aniimo uses, and how it treats Proton
The Steam page carries no third-party anti-cheat disclosure and no official notice names a product, so this page names none. Community write-ups name two different NetEase anti-cheat products and neither is confirmed by the publisher. No official policy on Proton or Wine exists either way.

Not claimed here: the anti-cheat’s name, since no official source gives one, and that Proton keeps working, since a first-week rating is a snapshot.

  1. Can my PC run Aniimo?

    If it has a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 5600, an Intel Core i7-4770 or Ryzen 7 2700, and 8 GB of RAM, yes: those are the official minimum specs on the Steam listing, checked 8 October 2026. The GTX 970 dates from 2014, so most gaming PCs from the last ten years clear the bar. The recommended tier asks for an RTX 3060 or RX 6700, an i7-10700 or Ryzen 5 5600, and 16 GB of RAM.

  2. How many GB is Aniimo?

    40 GB on PC, for both the minimum and recommended tiers: the Steam listing (checked 8 October 2026) and Pawprint’s own spec sheet of 14 September 2026 agree, and the sheet recommends an SSD. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S need 30 to 35 GB, and mobile needs 18 GB of free storage on both iOS and Android, per the same spec sheet.

  3. What phones can run Aniimo?

    Per Pawprint’s official spec sheet, published 14 September 2026: on iOS, minimum is an iPhone 11 (A13) on iOS 16 with 4 GB RAM, recommended an iPhone 14 Pro (A16) or newer on iOS 16 or later with 6 GB RAM or more. On Android, minimum is a Snapdragon 855 or Dimensity 1000 phone on Android 10 with 6 GB RAM and Vulkan 1.1, recommended a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Dimensity 9200 or better with 8 GB RAM or more and Vulkan 1.1 or later. Both platforms need 18 GB of free storage and a stable Wi-Fi connection to download, from the App Store or Google Play. Mobile launched on 23 September 2026 at 10:00 UTC+8, a week after PC and consoles.

  4. Is Aniimo on Mac or Linux?

    No. The Steam listing supports Windows only, with no macOS or Linux build announced. Beyond PC, the game runs on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox cloud gaming, iOS and Android.

  5. Can you play Aniimo on Linux, SteamOS or the Steam Deck?

    There is no native build. The Steam listing declares Windows only, with empty Linux and macOS requirement blocks, and Valve has not given Aniimo a Steam Deck compatibility rating, so it carries no Verified or Playable badge. Players do run the Windows build through Proton: ProtonDB rated it Gold from 99 reports on 17 September 2026, and GamingOnLinux reported the same day that the newest Proton crashes and that you have to force Proton 10. That is community reporting, not support. No official Aniimo notice mentions Linux, SteamOS, the Steam Deck or Proton at all.

  6. Why does Steam say Aniimo releases 15 September?

    Time zones. The global unlock is 16 September 2026 at 10:00 UTC+8, which lands on the evening of 15 September in the Americas. Steam shows the date in your local time; it is the same moment everywhere.
