Where Is Gachapus in Aniimo? Whisperwake Isles Explained
The honest answer is that nobody can catch Gachapus yet: it is not in the launch region, and no amount of searching will find it. AniimoSync went back to his closed beta footage of Whisperwake Isles, where Gachapus and a dozen more Aniimo lived, and the launch client backs him up with a locked New Region tile reading Unlocks on 10/29.

The closed beta footage of Whisperwake Isles and every screenshot on this page by AniimoSync
Gachapus cannot be caught in Aniimo as of 19 September 2026. It does not live anywhere in the launch region, so no habitat, no weather and no amount of walking will produce one. In the closed beta it lived on an island called Whisperwake Isles, and the launch client’s Season Overview carries a locked New Region tile reading Unlocks on 10/29.
Those two sentences are the whole answer, and they are worth reading twice before you spend an evening hunting. Gachapus, Popapus, Reefish, Coraliz, Cheekie, Wavwal, Bubbeep, Glameep, Malangel and Malevsera are all in the launch build’s files, all flagged unreleased, and none of them is placed on a map you can reach.
Spoiler warning, the same one the video opens with. Everything below the launch client section is closed beta footage of a region that has not shipped. If you would rather meet Whisperwake Isles for the first time in game, stop after the next heading.
The footage is AniimoSync’s, recorded during the closed beta and published on 19 September 2026. Every creature name, number and card was read off his screen, then checked against the launch client’s own data files. Where the two disagree, we say so.
Where is Gachapus in Aniimo?
Nowhere you can go. Gachapus is No.091 in the Aniilog, a Water DPS at the Nova stage, and the launch build marks it unreleased along with its first form Popapus, No.090. The habitat recorded against both in the game’s own data files is a zone called Crescent Bay, and Crescent Bay is not attached to any region the launch client will fly you to.
- It is not a rare spawn. There is no weather condition, no time of day and no quest that places one in Breezy Plains or any of the launch zones.
- It is not an egg. Nothing in the egg pool, the Promise Egg system or the season shops hands one out.
- It is not hidden behind progress. Clearing the main story, the Elite Pathfinder Challenge or the Holo-Battle Sim does not unlock it.
What the client does have is a date. That is the next section, and it is the only part of this page that is happening on the live build.
What the launch client actually shows
Open the season, Departure with the Wind, press Season Overview and scroll down. The bottom-left tile is locked, captioned New Region, and stamped Unlocks on 10/29. That tile is the single hard fact in this article.
Three things follow, and it is worth keeping them apart.
- A new region unlocks on 29 October 2026. Our season guide pins the moment from the season table: Part One of Season 1 closes at 07:59 (UTC+8) on 29 October, and the new content arrives with the maintenance that starts Part Two at 12:00 (UTC+8) the same day.
- The client does not say which region. The tile carries art and a date and no name. No notice on aniimo.com has published one either.
- The launch build already contains Whisperwake Isles. Its strings are in the files: a Branch, a Dewdrop Crystal, Whisperwake Coral, a Lumin Amber currency, a First Visit event and an ecology note about tides that go out at night and come in during the day. What is missing is the achievement group, which the launch client does not ship.
The link between the locked tile and Whisperwake Isles is AniimoSync’s inference, and it is a reasonable one, but it is not something the client states. He opens the map, scrolls south past Breezy Plains and points at the shape in the water below the playable coastline.
One more piece of evidence is public and official rather than inferred. An official notice published on 23 July 2026 for the closed beta’s Bond Pact event lists which Aniimo could not be sealed into an egg, and the category reads: Partial Aniimo from the Whisperwake Isles region: Cheekie, Wavwal, Reefish, Coraliz, Popapus, Gachapus, Bubbeep, Glameep, Malangel, Malevsera, etc. That notice names the region and it names Gachapus as belonging to it. What it does not do is tie either to 29 October.
What Whisperwake Isles was in the closed beta
A single island south of the launch landmass, with one zone open, Crescent Bay, banded Lv.54~56. AniimoSync’s beta footage opens on the map, and the region label at the bottom left reads Whisperwake Isl while the panel on the right is headed Crescent Bay.
That screenshot resolves the one thing our own data could not. Ten of the thirteen unreleased entries list their habitat as Crescent Bay and nothing else, with no region attached, which on the launch client reads as a zone floating in nowhere. The beta map shows what it belongs to: Crescent Bay is a zone inside Whisperwake Isles, in the same way that the Forest of Falling Stars is a zone inside the launch landmass. Sub-areas inside it carry their own names, and the footage passes a Bloom teleport point captioned Shimmering Shore.
AniimoSync’s description of the place is worth quoting rather than paraphrasing, because it is an impression rather than a measurement: this island is really, really amazing and the habitats are so different from night and day. It feels like two different maps in one. The footage backs that up. Half of it is white sand, palms and turquoise shallows; the other half is dry golden grassland under a night sky, and the same creatures wander both.
One zone does not make a region. The island outline on the beta map is much larger than the part that was walkable, and the creator is clear that plenty of it was shut: there were also quite a few areas that weren’t discoverable because they were blocked by walls or rocks or terrain. Whatever opens on 29 October, beta players will not have seen all of it.
Gachapus and Popapus, in detail
Gachapus is a Water DPS at the Nova stage, No.091, and it evolves from Popapus, No.090, a Water DPS at the Lumin stage. That line is in the launch build already, so it is not a beta detail that can quietly change: our Gachapus Aniidex entry and the Popapus entry both draw it from the game’s own data files.
The capsules are not decoration, they are the kit. The launch files give Gachapus the trait Gachapon, and it reads like a slot machine: every basic attack and every skill spins once, firing an orange, purple, blue or gold bubble and adding that colour to the gacha slots. Gold has a 1% chance; the other three have 33% each. Fill the slots with five of one colour, or roll a gold, and everything clears into [Jackpot] for 10 seconds: attacks stop rolling, every bubble becomes a Rainbow Bubble, and basic attack damage goes up by 60%.
That is exactly what he describes without naming it: if you get a certain amount of gumballs in the same sequence, you can actually do some pretty crazy stuff, and his ultimate also triggers his proc mandatory 100%, otherwise you just have to get lucky. The ultimate in the files is Super Jackpot, Might 183, which spits a giant rainbow bubble for area damage and enters [Jackpot] immediately. The rainbow, luminescent look he shows off at 3:44 is that state.
The beta skill screen is also where the launch files and the footage part company on names, which is the clearest single reminder that none of this is final.
| Skill in the launch files | Cost and power | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Gachapon (trait) | always on | Every attack and skill rolls one bubble: gold 1%, orange, purple and blue 33% each. Five of one colour, or one gold, clears the slots into [Jackpot] for 10s, where every bubble is a Rainbow Bubble and basic attack damage rises 60% |
| Everything Must Go (Clearance Sale in the beta) | Might 124 · EP 40 | Spits bubbles at the target for 5s. You can move while casting at reduced speed, and the damage counts as basic attack damage |
| Rigged Draw (Rigged Odds in the beta) | EP 10 | Eats the least common bubble colour, guarantees the most common colour on the next basic attack and raises basic attack damage 25% for 15s |
| Enhanced Bubble | Might 43 · EP 20 | Orange bubbles hit an area, blue bubbles return 5 EP, purple bubbles add 20% damage, gold and rainbow do all three |
| Super Jackpot (ultimate) | Might 183 | A giant rainbow bubble, area damage, and [Jackpot] for 10s with no dice involved |
| ATK | Might 6 | The ranged basic attack, water thrown at distance |
Base stats from the same files: HP 106 · ATK 121 · BREAK 51 · P.DEF 68 · M.DEF 72 · REGEN 101, a total of 519. Popapus sits at HP 90 · ATK 102 · BREAK 45 · P.DEF 58 · M.DEF 65 · REGEN 90, and carries the same Gachapon trait with two of the three combat skills, which is unusual for a Lumin stage body and matches AniimoSync’s reaction: he has a pretty crazy kit for being a Lumin stage Aniimo.
Two of his observations are beta-only and may not survive. The first is movement: he calls Gachapus a level three swimmer, and says it was his first one in the game. Our data files record no swim level for it, so treat that as a beta reading rather than a launch fact. The second is density: he says there is a lot of him, and the files disagree. The launch build records 5 spawn points for Gachapus against 62 for Popapus, which is the usual shape for an evolved body. Abundant Popapus and scarce Gachapus is what the numbers describe.
Every Aniimo AniimoSync shows in Whisperwake Isles
Thirteen entries, ten species and three extra forms, all of them flagged unreleased in the launch build. The table pairs what the game’s own data files hold with what the footage shows, and every name links to its Aniidex page.

Two habitat notes before the pictures. Crescent Bay is the recorded habitat for ten of the thirteen, and Malangel, Malevsera and the base Glameep carry no habitat at all in the launch files, even though the footage finds all three on the island. Our field survey fills one of those gaps by itself: the only zone recorded for Malevsera anywhere is Whisperwake Isles, with two spawn points.
Reefish and Coraliz are the pair we already knew about from the other direction. Our Rainstorm Stellarys guide flagged them in the weather form roster as the two rain forms in the files that nobody could reach yet, and this is why.
Malevsera is the one AniimoSync spends real time on, and his description is a play pattern rather than a stat: demonic transformation, effects that raise attack power while draining its own health, stronger the weaker it gets, and regenerative health at the end of the combo. That is a beta kit description. What the launch files confirm is the frame around it: Ice, DPS, Nova stage, No.093.
The beta map card for that form is the most specific thing in the whole video, and it is the sort of detail most likely to move before release. It reads: Aniimo distribution: Crescent Bay. Trigger condition: Prismana Flow. Location cue: Mountain Top of the Hidden Tidal Land in Crescent Bay. Refresh Rules: Only one can appear at a time and it does not respawn. Anyone who has hunted a Prismana form will recognise the shape of that: our Prismana egg guide and the free Prismana guide describe the same one-at-a-time rule on the forms you can already get.
The Omega dome, and the ground that stayed shut
The translucent dome with a single tree inside it, visible in the background of half the footage, is where AniimoSync says the Omega encounter sits. He also names the boss: Glameep is also the new Omega boss that you’re going to be fighting here.
Both of those are his, from the beta, and neither is in the launch files in any form we can check. There is no Whisperwake achievement group in the launch build, no Omega entry for Glameep, and nothing in our events calendar that mentions it. If you are planning a squad around beating it, plan loosely.
The honest counterweight, and he raises it himself, is how much of the island nobody has seen. Walls, rocks and terrain closed off quite a few areas during the beta, which is why he ends on it’s going to be new for a lot of us, even the beta players. One zone at Lv.54~56 inside an island outline several times that size is not a finished region.
What is confirmed, and what is inference
This is the part to keep if you keep nothing else. The left column is checkable on the build you are playing today; the right column comes from a beta build that the game’s own watermark describes as work in progress.
Confirmed by the launch client and its data files
- Gachapus, No.091, Water, DPS, Nova stage, evolving from Popapus, No.090, and flagged unreleased.
- All thirteen entries exist with elements, roles, stages, stats, skills and traits, and none of them is reachable.
- A locked New Region tile in the Season Overview reading Unlocks on 10/29, with beach art and no name.
- Season Part One ends 29 October 2026 at 07:59 (UTC+8), with Part Two starting after that day’s maintenance at 12:00.
- Whisperwake Isles strings in the launch build: a Branch, a Dewdrop Crystal, Whisperwake Coral, Lumin Amber and a First Visit event.
- An official closed beta notice from 23 July 2026 naming the Whisperwake Isles region and listing its Aniimo.
- Crescent Bay as the recorded habitat for ten of the thirteen, and Whisperwake Isles as the only recorded zone for Malevsera.
From the closed beta, and may change
- That the locked tile is Whisperwake Isles: a reasonable inference by AniimoSync, not a statement by the client.
- That Glameep is the region’s Omega boss, and that the domed tree is where that fight happens.
- That Gachapus is a level three swimmer.
- Skill names: Clearance Sale and Rigged Odds in the beta are Everything Must Go and Rigged Draw in the launch files.
- Crescent Bay at Lv.54~56, the 69% completion, the roster of thirteen tiles and the Shimmering Shore Bloom.
- The Prismana Glameep location cue, the Prismana Flow trigger and the research-point Rainstorm egg.
- Encounter density, rewards and which parts of the island are walkable.
One thing the video title raises and nothing anywhere settles: the word DLC. AniimoSync calls the update upcoming DLC in his title and the next island expansion in the video. Neither the Season Overview tile nor any screen in the footage shows a price, a purchase flow, a bundle or a paid tier attached to it, and no notice on aniimo.com mentions one. Nothing in the client or the video confirms that Whisperwake Isles costs money. Aniimo’s season content so far has been free to everyone, and the tile sits inside the season panel with the rest of it, which is a reason to expect the same and not a reason to promise it.
What to do until 29 October
There is no way to prepare for a region nobody can enter, so this is short and it is honest. Nothing below is a Gachapus farming route, because no such route exists.
- Tick off the Aniimo you can actually catch. Every unreleased entry sits in the same Aniilog as the ones you are missing from Breezy Plains. Our Aniidex lets you tick each one off from its card, so the gap you have left is visible at a glance.
- Bank Aniipods, and bank the good ones. A new region at Lv.54~56 means high level captures, and Aniipod Pro is 1.5x while Mega, Hyper and Track are 2x. The Aniipod database lists what each one costs to make.
- Learn the habitat interface now. The map card, the Habitats button and the weather badge are the same tools you will use on day one there. The Rainstorm Stellarys hunt is the cheapest way to practise all three.
- Finish Season 1 Part One before it closes. The Season Achievement board resets on 29 October with Part One, so points banked late are points wasted. Our season guide has the checklist.
- Sort the squad you already have. Whisperwake Isles is heavy on Ice, Water and Grass bodies, and our best Aniimo for every role plus the team builder will tell you what you are missing against them.
And then wait. The tile says 10/29, our events calendar carries the date, and the next thing that will change is a notice on aniimo.com. Until one appears, everything about Whisperwake Isles beyond that locked tile is beta footage and inference, including everything on this page.
