Aniimo's Free Prismana: All 6 Choices Compared & the Guaranteed Sparkling Trick
One free Prismana for every player, chosen from six species: no gacha, no odds. The full stat comparison, a verdict by playstyle, and the one-item trick that turns the giveaway into a guaranteed Sparkling.

The short answer: every Aniimo player can claim one free Prismana Aniimo at launch (no gacha, no odds), choosing between Pawney, Scorchhowl, Witchin, Turbo, Thornblade and Grizbo. By the numbers, Witchin is the strongest all-around pick (530 total stats, the only healer of the six) and Pawney the strongest attacker (128 ATK). And if you hold your Sparkling Cube and use it on your chosen Prismana, the result is a guaranteed Sparkling. The rest of this guide shows the working. For a second reading that grades the Prismana forms themselves rather than the creatures, and lands on Grizbo, see ZakkuVerse's verdict.
What is a Prismana form?
A Prismana form is Aniimo's rainbow-rare variant: a prismatic re-coloring of a species with its own render and visual effects. Across our catalogue of the full Aniidex, only 20 species have a confirmed Prismana form, which puts the giveaway in perspective: you are being handed one of the rarest cosmetic tiers in the game on day one. Current data treats Prismana as appearance prestige: the creature's stats, traits and skills are those of its family, not a separate combat tier. That single fact drives every recommendation below: you are not choosing a stronger monster, you are choosing which species you want a rare version of.
How the giveaway works
The offer is presented in-game as a pamphlet: choose your own rare Prismana Aniimo. The mechanics, as shown in current pre-launch material:
- Everyone qualifies by playing. The unlock is tied to early progression, reaching Junior Wayfarer rank, not to purchases or luck.
- The choice is permanent, so it is worth making before launch day rather than in the menu, with your squad waiting.
- All six options can also be Sparkling: see the guaranteed method below before you spend anything.
The six options, by the numbers
Family base stats from the official Aniimo Index. Reading guide: ATK scales damage dealt, P.DEF/M.DEF reduce physical and magical damage taken, REGEN governs sustain and healing output, and BREAK is stagger pressure, the stat that opens bosses to burst windows.
| Aniimo | Element | Role | Total | HP | ATK | P.DEF | M.DEF | REGEN | BREAK |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Witchin | Dark | Regen (healer) | 530 | 115 | 80 | 80 | 90 | 115 | 50 |
| Grizbo | Earth | DPS | 524 | 108 | 126 | 83 | 73 | 84 | 50 |
| Turbo | Wind | Support | 520 | 95 | 90 | 80 | 96 | 109 | 50 |
| Pawney | Dark | DPS | 512 | 90 | 128 | 89 | 70 | 80 | 55 |
| Thornblade | Grass | DPS | 499 | 96 | 121 | 70 | 70 | 92 | 50 |
| Scorchhowl | Fire | DPS | 495 | 90 | 115 | 80 | 70 | 90 | 50 |
Four DPS, one healer, one support, which already tells you something: if you want your free rare to fill a scarce role rather than compete with every attacker you'll catch, the field narrows fast.
Profile: each option in detail
Witchin: the healer that debuffs
Dark · Regen · 530 total. Witchin is the only healing-class option, and its kit leans disruptive rather than passive: its signature traits weaken an enemy's damage output by 15% on a rolling timer and add 25% damage against debuffed targets, so its "support" turns are never wasted turns. Skills like Euphoric Sonic Blast and Black Hole Domain keep it useful while it sustains the team. In the wild it haunts the Mistwoods (or evolves from Hummin), and it continues into a further evolution, Tuckin. Weak into Earth; strong into Fire, Grass and Light targets. Forms catalogued: Highland, Prismana, Umbrabow.
Grizbo: the frenzied bruiser
Earth · DPS · 524 total. A gentle exterior over a rage engine: Grizbo's trait set converts accumulated rage into a frenzied state, and its Rock Smash hits at a massive 227 Might, the hardest single number among the six. With 108 HP behind 126 ATK, it's the bruiser profile: hits hard, survives the answer. Caught wild around Rosetower Wood (or evolved from Cubbo), and it also roams as a capturable Alpha boss. Weak into Fire, Lightning and Ice; strong into Lightning, Ice and Water. One caveat for collectors: our catalogue lists only base and Prismana forms so far, the thinnest form roadmap of the six.
Turbo: the cloud that pays for itself
Wind · Support · 520 total. Turbo sleeps in clouds and fights like it: its Leisurely trait makes every 25th-second skill cast cost zero EP, and Mistbound opens each battle in an enhanced state. That's a support whose value shows up in your resource bar rather than the damage log. Found in Nimbus Fields (or evolved from Nimbi), with a further evolution (Dreaple) and a capturable Alpha boss version. Weak into Ice, Wind and Dark; strong into Grass, Dark and Lightning. Broadest form family of the six alongside Scorchhowl: Highland, Mountain Woods, Thunderstorm, Prismana, Umbrabow.
Pawney: the broken-sword duelist
Dark · DPS · 512 total. The knight with the broken sword is the purest attacker here: Pawney has the highest ATK of the six (128), the only above-baseline BREAK (55), and traits built for tempo: one converts 15% of DEF into bonus ATK, the other adds 25% damage to controlled or BREAK-staggered targets. Its Shadow Cut (85 Might) and Ironclad Armament (220 Might) anchor a burst-window playstyle. The catch: Pawney is not found in the wild (it evolves from Helmut, found around Russet Highlands) and continues to Rookey. Weak into Earth; strong into Fire, Grass and Light.
Thornblade: the stacking swordsman
Grass · DPS · 499 total. Thornblade draws thorn-stem swords only to protect its pack, and mechanically, it rewards commitment: +12% Grass damage baseline, plus a Sword Dance stack every time it casts, building toward crescendo turns. Its 121 ATK sits just behind the leaders. Wild in the Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Wood (or evolved from Budsquire), evolving on to Melloblum. Weak into Water, Earth and Fire matchups going out. Take care, its 70/70 defenses are the softest here.
Scorchhowl: the aggression engine
Fire · DPS · 495 total. The lowest total on the table, but the most popular aesthetic, and a kit that punishes hesitation: Scorchhowl gains +25% damage on the next skill after 8 quiet seconds, and escalating damage against burn-stacked targets. Falling Star (170 Might) is its haymaker. Wild around Beast Fang Ridge (or evolved from Flameruff), continuing to Inferlupa, with a capturable Alpha boss version. Weak into Water and watch Grass/Ice matchups both ways. Fullest form family of the six: Highland, Thunderstorm, Mountain Woods, Prismana, Umbrabow.
Our verdict, by playstyle
- You want the objectively safest pick → Witchin. Highest total, the only rare-form healer you'll own for a long time, and a debuff kit that stays relevant at every stage. Damage dealers will flood your roster within a week; a 530-total sustain unit will not.
- You want your free rare to be your main attacker → Pawney or Grizbo. Pawney for tempo and stagger pressure (128 ATK, 55 BREAK), Grizbo for raw trades (126 ATK on a 108 HP frame, and a 227-Might nuke).
- You value economy over the damage log → Turbo. Free skill casts are the kind of advantage that compounds quietly across a whole account.
- You're picking with your eyes → do it guilt-free. Prismana is chiefly cosmetic; every option above is playable. The stat gaps are real, but none of them will decide a run on its own.
- One collector's note: if long-term form-hunting matters to you, Scorchhowl and Turbo offer the deepest variant families to chase; Grizbo currently offers the shallowest.
Whichever you pick, check the element chart for how it slots into your matchup coverage, and the tier list for where its family ranks.
The guaranteed Sparkling trick

Sparkling is Aniimo's shiny layer, a rare recolor that stacks on top of any form, Prismana included. Normally it's an odds game. The giveaway breaks those odds, if your order of operations is right:
- Bank your Sparkling Cube the moment you get one. Don't spend it on impulse: not on a favorite, not on a strong catch, not yet.
- Use it on your chosen free Prismana. Applied to the giveaway Aniimo, the cube produces a guaranteed Sparkling: no roll, no grind.
One item and a little patience turn the giveaway into the rarest version of itself: a free Prismana and its shiny. If you're hunting Sparklings beyond this one, the pre-launch web event hatches eggs at a 6% Sparkling rate. Our event guide is coming later this week.
