Who’s That Aniimo?

Open the main menu, choose Events, and Who’s That Aniimo? sits in the list down the left side of the screen. The panel shows a black silhouette with five clue tags pinned around it, a reward column on the right, and a Habitat card with a Go button that opens the world map on the region the hidden Aniimo lives in.

The instruction printed on the panel is: take a photo of an Aniimo that shares a trait with the target to reveal that part of the silhouette. So you photograph creatures, upload the pictures through the album button on the panel, and every trait a photo proves ticks its clue. Photographing the correct Aniimo ticks all five at once and the panel reads Investigation Complete. The Part 2 notice adds that qualifying photos already in your album can be submitted, that your own Aniimo, other Pathfinders’ Aniimo and wild ones all count, that only the exact form of the mystery Aniimo completes it, and that Aniimo in Holo-Battle Sim and the Sanctum are not recognised.

The answer changes with each phase, not each day. The game’s data files (build 1.1.3846247) set one mystery Aniimo per phase: Budclaw from 16 to 24 September, Glacy in Sea of Flowers Form from 2 to 8 October, Inferlupa in Prismana Form from 16 to 22 October, then for Part 2 Gachapus from 30 October to 5 November, Coraliz from 13 to 19 November and Ignitis in Highland Form from 27 November to 3 December 2026. Budclaw is also the clue set recorded in game on 16 September: Earth Element, Basic, Lumin Stage, BREAK and No special Pathfinding abilities, with the Habitat card on Freshsprout Hill in Nimbus Fields.

Read the clue tags before you go anywhere, then press Go under the Habitat card. That button opens the map already centred on the right region, which saves working it out from the clues.

Photograph the answer before the last clue is revealed. The second reward pays for a photo taken before the full silhouette is revealed, so solving the board one clue at a time is exactly what loses it.

Shoot close. The album screen warns that photos which are too distant or blurry may be rejected, and a yellow Target Appeared! banner over the focus reticle confirms the game recognises the subject. The upload reads whatever the picture proves, so a lucky photo of the right creature can settle the whole board in one go.

No Whisperwake Isles yet? The rules accept a photo of another Pathfinder’s Aniimo or one already in your album, so a friend’s Gachapus or Coraliz counts. Photos taken in the Holo-Battle Sim or a Sanctum do not.
