Legendary Journey: Walking with Irisalis & Gift of Blessing

Our calendar splits into two bars what the client keeps as one event. In the game’s data files there is a single Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure, running from 16 September 2026 at 04:00 to 10 December 2026, and Trail of Butterfly Shadows and Walking with Irisalis & Gift of Blessing are its two chapters. Petals, milestones and crafting are shared across both, so nothing reset at the handover.

The petal economy is published in the event’s own rules. You gather Irisalis Petals through exploration in Breezy Plains, unspent petals remain permanently, and the first four collection milestones sit at 20, 40, 60 and 80 petals, paying 50 to 200 Glimmer. Spending starts at 99 petals, which craft a Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis and open the energy rift leading to Irisalis itself. After that, 49 petals each craft a Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure, up to ten of them, and that pod guarantees a successful catch at Perfect Potential or better with a guaranteed Sparkling.

The developer letter of 3 September 2026 explains the encounter itself. Once the Legendary Aniipod is crafted, the exclusive encounter appears on the map: you enter the battle, follow the story, defeat the Legendary Aniimo and throw the Aniipod you made to seal the bond. The letter is explicit that this encounter only happens once, and that the design is the template for every Legendary Aniimo encounter to come. The 23 September update notice names the systems the beta only implied. The locked Weekly Rotation tab from Trail of Butterfly Shadows is called Iris Companion, a weekly-limited Irisalis Petal source. After the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis is crafted, forging your Twine unlocks the Blessing Gifts, which is the reward line the “Gift of Blessing” half of this chapter’s name was waiting on; the notice names the unlock step but not what the gifts are, so we quote it rather than guess. Befriending Irisalis afterwards unlocks its exclusive Transmog ability.

The catch is not random any more. The dev team removed the repeat throw attempt model, so petals collected while exploring are the progress bar: play normally rather than farming one spot.

The Irisalis encounter happens once. Bring a squad you are happy with and do not open it as a test run.

Bank the extra pods. Ten Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure at 49 petals each is ten guaranteed Perfect Sparkling catches, which is the largest guaranteed haul on the launch calendar.

Aniipod Ultra and the Legendary Aniipod are different items. The Legendary Aniipod is the one this encounter asks you to craft.
