Legendary Journey: Trail of Butterfly Shadows

Our calendar splits into two bars what the client keeps as one event. In the game’s data files there is a single Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure, running from 16 September 2026 at 04:00 to 10 December 2026. The 23 September update notice gives the second chapter’s own close as 10 December 2026 at 07:59 (UTC+8), four hours later than the daily 03:59 reset, and Trail of Butterfly Shadows and Walking with Irisalis & Gift of Blessing are its two chapters. Petals, milestones and crafting are shared across both, so nothing resets at the handover.

The petal economy is published in the event’s own rules. You gather Irisalis Petals through exploration in Breezy Plains, unspent petals remain permanently, and the first four collection milestones sit at 20, 40, 60 and 80 petals, paying 50 to 200 Glimmer. Spending starts at 99 petals, which craft a Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis and open the energy rift leading to Irisalis itself. After that, 49 petals each craft a Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure, up to ten of them, and that pod guarantees a successful catch at Perfect Potential or better with a guaranteed Sparkling.

The How to Obtain panel lists the permanent petal sources: Main Story, Journey Quests, Branch Nurture, Aniimo Topic, Gather, Alpha First Clear, Silver Badge, the Elite Pathfinder Challenge and Tracing the Trail. A Weekly Rotation tab sits beside them, locked at launch and opening with the second chapter.

Start gathering on day one. The permanent sources add up to roughly 107 petals and the first pod costs 99, so the crafting gate is closer than it looks.

Nothing expires at the handover on 25 September. Petals are kept permanently and the client treats both bars as one event, so a slow first chapter costs you nothing.

Ten days from launch day is the shortest Legendary Journey window on the calendar, but it is a chapter rather than a deadline: the event itself runs to 10 December 2026.

The catch is not an odds game any more. Tokens collected while exploring are the progress bar, so play normally rather than farming one spot.
