Aniimo Transmog Guide: How Irisalis Skins Work, What They Cost, and 35 Free Petals a Week
menaceFT’s walk through the Irisalis Transmog on the day it went live: five parts, one free currency that stops at Headwear, one paid currency that doubles with every lock, and odds of 24 to 6 to 1. Then the half most players skip, the 35 Irisalis Petals a week hidden in The Faded Rainbow, the event shop and the Stamp Shop, read off his screen and added up.

menaceFT
The Transmog screens, the weekly petal sources, the shop prices and the cost estimates on this page come from menaceFT’s video of 25 September 2026
Aniimo Transmog is the skin system you unlock by befriending Irisalis: every press of Transmogrify re-rolls whichever of her five parts you have unlocked, Color, Wings, Headwear, Body and Sparkling, for one Glimmering Driftshadow, the free currency, while locking a part you like, or reaching Body and Sparkling at all, takes Radiant Dreamshadow, the paid one, at 200 Lumin Crystals each. Irisalis herself costs nothing but 99 Irisalis Petals, and the petals come faster than most players think: 35 a week from three sources that reset every Monday.
menaceFT filmed both halves on 25 September 2026, the day the Legendary Journey chapter Walking with Irisalis opened, with 67 petals in hand and the Transmog screen open on camera. His title is a warning, and the screens back it up: the free currency runs out of parts at Headwear, and each lock doubles the price of the next roll. This page reads every number off his footage, adds it up, and says plainly where the arithmetic is ours and where the claim is his.
How to reach Irisalis in the first place, and what the Chinese beta showed of her looks, is in our Irisalis skins and Radiant Dreamshadow article from 22 September. Her stats and kit are on her Aniidex page.
How Aniimo Transmog works on Irisalis
The Aniimo Transmog screen shows Irisalis on dark water with five parts around her, and one button, Transmogrify, that re-rolls every part you have unlocked. Color and Wings are open from the start. Headwear, Body and Sparkling sit greyed out and unlock in that order, left to right, as menaceFT explains from 4:18.
One roll costs one Glimmering Driftshadow while that box is ticked. Every roll gives each unlocked part a new random style and colour: the frame above came up Ember on Color and Floral Glow on Wings, and a later press turned her pink with Peach White and Shadowthorn Phantom. The number under her name is the Transmog Score, which climbs with rarity. Early rolls read 200 or 400 on menaceFT’s screen; the all-gold Sunflare Rose look at 9:06 reads 5,000.
When a roll lands on something you like, Save & Apply stores it as a preset. menaceFT says you can hold up to 10 presets and warns that applying one wipes the others. The client’s own warning, which he triggers at 4:46, says something narrower: saving clears your current history, meaning the History list of past rolls, and it asks for a second confirmation when the new look scores lower than the preset already applied.
We would follow the screen, and still be careful: menaceFT has used the menu longer than we have, and a preset slot being overwritten is the sort of thing a short clip can miss. Save before you experiment, and keep the look you love in a slot you do not reuse.
The Set Preview tab shows what each part can become. Four named sets appear in it, and the base wings carry a fifth name, Iris in First Bloom. Colour rolls also come with plain names, and the video shows Ember, Deep Teal, First Bloom, Peach White, Amber Dawn, Crimson Flame and a gold Silver Bead.
| Set | Set colour | Beta look | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Floral Glow | Cherry-Blossom Afterglow | Pink and lilac | Pink and lilac petals, pale blue tips |
| Shadowthorn Phantom | Deep Violet | Crimson | Magenta flame wings, dark spiked crown |
| Starbloom Moonlight | Nightglow | Starlit blue | Night blue, crescent moon halo |
| Sunflare Rose | Radiant Gold | Gold | Cream and gold, sun halo, rainbow ring |
Those are the four appearances our beta skins section described on 22 September, when nobody knew whether the global servers would get them. They did, with names: Starbloom Moonlight, Sunflare Rose, Shadowthorn Phantom and Floral Glow.
How to unlock Headwear, Body and Sparkling
You unlock the next part by rolling: according to menaceFT, every Transmogrify has a chance to push a faint progress line towards the next part, and when it arrives the part opens. He zooms in on it at 5:42, a thin white line with a sparkle at its tip, running along the arc from Wings towards Headwear.
“If you’re lucky, the progress bar is going to move, and if you’re unlucky, the progress bar is not going to move at all,” is his summary. The video does not show the rule text behind it, so how far a roll moves the line is not something we can confirm from this footage.
The bigger rule is who can go where. menaceFT says the free currency can unlock and roll Color, Wings and Headwear, and stops there: “You can’t go past Headwear. That’s the max you can reach.” Body and Sparkling need Radiant Dreamshadow. His own account reaches exactly three parts in the footage, Color, Wings and a Floral Glow Headwear, with a Transmog Score of 1,100.
What the two paid parts change is shown side by side from 8:06. Headwear is the halo that glows above her head. Body swaps the whole gown, and the difference is not subtle.
Sparkling is the fifth slot and, in menaceFT’s words, “obviously the sparkling effect”, the drifting light around her. Nothing on screen ties it to the Sparkling form that some Aniimo are caught in, the variant our Sparkling variants guide covers; the Transmog slot is a look, named after a set like the other four.
Transmog rarity odds: Rare, Epic and Legendary
Each rolled part comes out Rare (77.42%), Epic (19.36%) or Legendary (3.22%), shown as a blue, purple or gold ring above the part’s name. menaceFT puts the three figures on screen at 5:23 as a card in his edit; the video does not show the in-game page they were copied from.
| Rarity (ring) | Odds | Card’s description | As a weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rare (blue) | 77.42% | The base looks | 24 in 31 |
| Epic (purple) | 19.36% | Two sets and three colours | 6 in 31 |
| Legendary (gold) | 3.22% | Two sets and three colours | 1 in 31 |
The last column is ours, and it explains the odd decimals: 24, 6 and 1 out of 31 give 77.42%, 19.35% and 3.23%, which is the card to within a rounding. So a gold part is a 1 in 31 roll. If each part rolls on its own, ten rolls give roughly a 28% chance of at least one gold result on a given part, and it takes about 22 rolls to pass even odds. That is why the full gold set on the preview reads 5,000 and why nobody should expect it from a handful of free rolls.
Glimmering Driftshadow vs Radiant Dreamshadow: the free and the paid currency
Glimmering Driftshadow is the free currency, bought with Glimmer or Irisalis Petals; Radiant Dreamshadow is the paid one, bought with Lumin Crystals. Both show in the top-right corner of the Transmog screen: Radiant Dreamshadow on the left, orange, and Glimmering Driftshadow on the right, pearl white.
Glimmer, the currency every account earns free, buys Glimmering Driftshadow at 200 each or 1,800 for ten, which is 180 each. The item’s tooltip reads “Use to change part of an Aniimo’s appearance and give it a new look”, and lists two sources: the Legendary Journey event and Glimmer Purchase.
The Legendary Journey event shop sells it for 2 Irisalis Petals, once you have crafted the Irisalis pod; before that the card is locked, as it is on menaceFT’s account with 76 petals. Radiant Dreamshadow sits on the Item tab of the paid shop at 200 Lumin Crystals, beside the Aniipod Ultra at 200 and the Sparkling Cube at 1,500.
That price answers the question our 22 September article had to leave open. The one other source is the paid track of the Companion Handbook, where level 35 on the Advanced Edition pays a single Radiant Dreamshadow. menaceFT’s verdict: “that’s only one transmogrify. Nothing too crazy. Just a teaser, I guess.”
| Glimmering Driftshadow | Radiant Dreamshadow | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | 200 Glimmer, 1,800 for ten, or 2 Irisalis Petals | 200 Lumin Crystals |
| Other source | Legendary Journey event | Companion Handbook level 35, Advanced track, one |
| Parts it can roll | Color, Wings, Headwear (menaceFT) | All five |
| Can lock parts | No | Yes, and each lock doubles the cost |
The lock is the real dividing line. Next to each part name is a small padlock, and ticking it keeps that part while the rest re-roll. Try it with the free box ticked and the client refuses in one sentence.
How much does a full Irisalis Transmog cost?
A roll costs 1 Radiant Dreamshadow with nothing locked and doubles with every lock, so three locks cost 8 a roll, which at 200 Lumin Crystals each is US$22 to US$24 by our arithmetic. menaceFT’s own estimate for finishing a set is at least US$300, and he adds that it can climb into the thousands.
The rule, in menaceFT’s words at 9:10: “when you lock a part, your rolls are going to cost the double. So, you lock two and it’s going to quadruple.” The three-lock price is the one point on screen, and 8 is what doubling predicts. The dollar column uses our own rate from the Lumin Crystal packs, 1.38 to 1.51 US cents a crystal. The one- and two-lock rows follow his rule:
| Parts locked | Radiant Dreamshadow a roll | Lumin Crystals | About, in US$ |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 1 | 200 | 2.76 to 3.02 |
| 1 | 2 | 400 | 5.52 to 6.04 |
| 2 | 4 | 800 | 11.04 to 12.08 |
| 3 | 8 | 1,600 | 22.08 to 24.16 |
Chasing a fourth gold part with three already locked is a 1 in 31 roll at about US$23 a try: expect several hundred dollars for that one part alone, and nothing stops a bad streak. menaceFT’s estimates are consistent with it: roughly US$50 to US$100 just to open Body, a minimum of around US$300 to unlock every part, “and you can climb into the thousands”. He then shows a Reddit post in which a player who unlocked everything puts the bill at “about 500 USD” and adds “could say i got quite lucky.”
Hence the thumbnail: know that price before the first paid roll. We would add that free rolls are not wasted. Headwear is reachable without paying, and the odds card makes no distinction between the two currencies.
Does Transmog affect Irisalis in combat?
No. menaceFT is explicit that the skin system “is purely cosmetic. It changes nothing about her stats or how she performs in the fighting,” and both currencies’ tooltips describe only a change of appearance. Irisalis in her base look is the same Legendary as in Sunflare Rose.
What she is, per the game’s own data files: Aniilog No.013, a Grass DPS at the Nova stage with 540 total base stats and 130 physical attack, the highest in the Aniilog alongside Fulmintis. Her kit revolves around clones: Irisalis Shadow summons an Iris Clone after Iris Shot hits, Whirling Blossom Rain makes every clone fire, and the ultimate leaves one more. menaceFT calls her “the best grass DPS” in the game, which is his call rather than a published ranking. Squads built around her are on the Irisalis team page, and Fire, Wind and Dark are the elements that hit her for 1.6 on our element chart.
He also makes the case for the model, and it is fair: the game “is funded by the people willing to spend on cosmetics”, and it is thanks to them, he says, that everyone else plays for free. Our pay to win guide, also built on his footage, reaches the same conclusion across the whole shop.
How to get Irisalis petals every week: the 35-petal farm
Three weekly-limited sources pay 35 Irisalis Petals a week between them: 6 from Memory: The Faded Rainbow, 25 from five Breezy Mission Letters in the event shop, and 4 from the Stamp Shop. menaceFT’s point, and the mistake in his title, is that players ignore the Legendary Journey tab until they reach 99 petals, and every week they wait is a week of capped rewards gone for good.
And 99 is not the finish. Petals keep a use after the pod: 50 each for up to ten Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure, the guaranteed Perfect Sparkling catch, 30 for the Floral Rainbow Feather and 2 per Glimmering Driftshadow. The petal’s own tooltip now lists the event shop among its uses: “Used to craft ‘Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis’ and ‘Legendary Aniipod: Departure with the Wind,’ and to exchange for items in the Legendary Journey event shop.” Departure with the Wind is the client’s current name for the Windchaser’s Departure pod, and for the season itself on the Season Hub.
This tab is the weekly-limited source the 23 September notice called Iris Companion without detail. It resets with the week, 2 days 11 hours away on a Friday evening, and it lists exactly three rows:
| Weekly source | Petals a week | Weekly cost |
|---|---|---|
| The Faded Rainbow | 6 (2 claims × 3) | 100 Primegy |
| Breezy Mission Letters | 25 (5 letters × 5) | 2,140 Glimmer |
| Stamp Shop | 4 (limit 4) | 200 stamps |
| Total | 35 | Resets every Monday at 04:00 |
One caution on the middle row: the tab labels the Event Shop’s yield “Random” rather than a number, so 25 is what the letters paid in week one, not a promise for every week. The routine takes a few minutes:
- Claim The Faded Rainbow twice: defeat Irelia, spend 50 Primegy per chest.
- Buy the four Stamp Shop petals for 200 stamps.
- Buy five Breezy Mission Letters for 428 Glimmer each.
- Open the Irisalis Flowers from your inventory, 5 petals each.
Memory: The Faded Rainbow, the weekly Irelia fight
Memory: The Faded Rainbow is a Level 20 fight against Irelia that pays a chest of 3 Irisalis Petals for 50 Primegy, twice a week. menaceFT describes it as a solo rematch against Irisalis, and the art agrees: the event text names her Irelia, the same name the mobile trailer’s subtitles gave the Irisalis look-alike in our trailer breakdown.
Doubled for the two claims, that is 6 petals, 500 EXP, 40 stamps and 100,000 Credits a week, which is exactly menaceFT’s tally. The recommended attributes are the three elements that hit Grass for 1.6, which points to a Grass Irelia, like Irisalis and the wild Iris of the Sea of Flowers (see Iris on the map). The story text fits that region: “The beautiful sea of flowers has withered into ashen gray… Awaken Irelia, drawn in by the false Prismana glow, and return that color to its rightful owner.”
menaceFT flags the trap at 1:20: the panel’s timer reads “Event Ending In 75d 15h”, which makes it look like something to do later. The claims do not roll over. The rules say the limit resets every Monday at 04:00, so a skipped week is 6 petals lost for good. Our Walking with Irisalis event page keeps the chapter dates.
The Breezy Mission Letter: 25 petals hidden in the event shop
The Breezy Mission Letter costs 428 Glimmer, five a week, and each one guarantees a flower that opens into 5 Irisalis Petals, plus a random number of Legendary Chests. It is the biggest weekly source by far, and the easiest to miss, because the shop never says petals on the card.
The description is the confusing part. It promises “1 Prismatic Kite Flower” that you use “to obtain 5 [Prismatic Kite Petals]”, two items menaceFT had never seen, so he bought one on camera to find out. What arrived was an Irisalis Flower and three Legendary Chests, and the flower’s own text reads “Use it to obtain 5 [Irisalis Petals].” The Kite wording looks like a leftover name; the item you get is the right one.
The Legendary Chests are a bonus: menaceFT compares them to an Alpha boss reward, and the chest he opens on camera pays three stacks of materials and 15,000 Credits. The Glimmer adds up to 2,140 a week for 25 petals. Here is the arithmetic that makes the letters good value even for a player who already has Irisalis: 25 petals buy 12 Glimmering Driftshadow at 2 petals each, about 178 Glimmer per Driftshadow, against 180 in the ten-pack and 200 singly, and you keep the chests. The event shop’s Driftshadow limit is not visible while the card is locked, so treat that as a ceiling rather than a guarantee.
The Stamp Shop: four petals for 200 stamps
The Stamp Shop’s Weekly tab sells the Irisalis Petal for 50 stamps, four a week. Its card is tagged Recommended and sits first on the shelf, next to Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal ×20, Star Dust ×5 and Credits ×2000.
200 stamps is a fifth of the 1,000 Season Stamps the weekly Stamp Rush board pays at most, as our daily checklist tracks, and The Faded Rainbow hands 40 stamps back. menaceFT buys all four in the video; so would we.
The permanent petal sources still count
The Permanent tab is unchanged: nine one-time sources that add up to 107 petals, more than the 99 the pod costs. menaceFT’s screen shows eight of the nine rows with his progress on each.
Those eight rows hold 55 of his petals; the ninth, Main Story, capped at 12, sits below the frame. The biggest gaps on his account are Aniimo Topic, with 15 petals unclaimed, then Branch Nurture and Silver Badge with 6 each. Tracing the Trail pays one petal per investigation until 9 December 2026, and our Tracing the Trail guide shows how to run it on a timer. The full source list, first published at launch, is in our 1.1 update article.
Put the two tabs together and the pace is clear: a player at menaceFT’s 67 who takes all 35 weekly petals reaches 99 inside one week, and has the Floral Rainbow Feather’s 30 a week after that.
Floral Rainbow Feather: the best Irisalis held item
The Floral Rainbow Feather is Irisalis’s bonded held item, sold only in the Legendary Journey event shop for 30 Irisalis Petals, and its core effect is “Summoned clones deal 30% additional damage.” Like the Driftshadow card, it stays locked until you craft a Legendary Aniipod.
menaceFT calls it her best-in-slot and “very, very OP”, and the kit explains why: clones are, in his words, her “main core mechanic”, from Irisalis Shadow’s Iris Clone to the one Florae Descent leaves behind, so a flat 30% on clones lands on a large share of what she does. The word bonded matters too: it is her item, sold nowhere else, and it is the strongest reason to keep collecting after 99. It is too new for the game’s data files we use, so it is not yet in our held item list; the pact system that upgrades other held items is covered in our pact held item guide.
The order menaceFT’s video argues for, and ours: take the 35 weekly petals from the first week, craft the Irisalis pod, buy the Feather with the next 30, and only then decide how much of the Transmog is worth paying for.
