Irisalis Skins and Radiant Dreamshadow: How Aniimo’s Legendary Event Changed Since the Beta
AniimoSync’s look at the Legendary Irisalis a week after launch: the Radiant Dreamshadow item, four alternative appearances from the Chinese beta, and the Rift event players pushed to have rebuilt. We read the beta’s own History screen run by run, set it against the 23 September notice and the game’s data files, and separated what is confirmed from what is not.

The Radiant Dreamshadow tooltip, the Chinese beta appearance footage, the beta Rift Exploration screens and the commentary on the Legendary event come from AniimoSync’s video of 22 September 2026
You cannot get Irisalis or change her look yet: the Legendary Aniimo arrives on 25 September 2026 at 10:00 UTC+8, you befriend her once with a Legendary Aniipod crafted from Irisalis Petals, and only then does her Transmog ability unlock, the system the Radiant Dreamshadow item appears to feed.
That is the order the 23 September update notice sets out. AniimoSync filled in the pictures on 22 September: the Radiant Dreamshadow tooltip, four alternative Irisalis appearances from the Chinese beta, and several minutes of the beta’s Legendary event, the one AniimoSync calls Pawprint’s biggest mistake of the tests. Every appearance below is beta footage, and the video says plainly that nobody knows whether the global servers (NA, EU and APAC) will get the same ones.
The update itself, petal sources and all, is covered in our 1.1 update patch notes. This page stays on Irisalis.
Irisalis skins: what Radiant Dreamshadow does
Radiant Dreamshadow is a Currency item whose whole description is “Use to change an Aniimo’s appearance and give it a new look.” AniimoSync opens the video on it, over close-ups of Irisalis, and reads it as the item the Irisalis Transmog will run on. That is the creator’s inference, and a reasonable one, but the tooltip itself never names Irisalis.
The flavour text is the second paragraph: Shimmering light ripples as dazzling radiance envelops the silhouettes of the past, awaiting a miraculous transformation. Under How to Obtain, one line: Shop. The account on screen holds exactly one.
There is a second source the tooltip does not list. When AniimoSync walked the Companion Handbook on the launch client, level 35 on the Advanced track paid one Radiant Dreamshadow plus Sparkling Crystal ×100, and it is the only appearance item on the whole 100-level ladder. So the item already exists on live accounts, a week before the creature it is presumably for. What one Transmog costs, how many Radiant Dreamshadow a change takes, and the shop price are published nowhere: not in the notice, not in the video.
The notice’s own wording is the firm part. After befriending Irisalis, “you will also unlock its exclusive Transmog ability.” Exclusive is the word to hold on to. On 22 September 2026, no other Aniimo is announced with a Transmog, and our outfit index covers the Pathfinder’s wardrobe, which is a separate system.
The four Irisalis appearances from the Chinese beta
From 0:26 to 0:42 the video plays a clip captioned 幻色展示, roughly “colour-variant showcase”, from the Chinese beta. The Bilibili watermark in its top corner shows where the clip was first posted. Four looks go past, each on a dark stage above water, and none of them has been confirmed for the global release.
The first is the most different from the base creature: the pink petals turn into a translucent night-blue gown with small stars along its hem, and a black moon disc ringed in light sits where the crown of petals would be.
The second is cream and gold, with a sunburst halo and a thin rainbow ring behind it. The third turns everything crimson and violet, with red eyes under a dark spiked crown.
The fourth stays closest to the Irisalis everyone knows: pink and lilac petals, pale blue tips, the familiar antenna crown. At that moment a banner in the source player announces a drop to 360p, and the showcase ends two seconds later.
| Look | Time in the video | What changes | Confirmed for global servers? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starlit blue | 0:26 to 0:29 | Night-blue gown, black moon halo, star points | No |
| Gold | 0:30 to 0:35 | Cream and gold wings, sun halo, rainbow ring | No |
| Crimson | 0:36 to 0:39 | Magenta wings, dark spiked crown, red eyes | No |
| Pink and lilac | 0:40 to 0:42 | Pastel petals with blue tips, base crown | No |
AniimoSync’s caveat, at 0:46: whether these are the official skins for our servers and regions “is unknown, but this might be a hint of what they will look like”. We would go no further. The Transmog is confirmed; its menu, its prices and its list of looks are not. AniimoSync is also asking viewers to post their own Transmog variants in the channel’s Discord once the event is live, for a community showcase.
How to get Irisalis in Aniimo from 25 September 2026
Collect 99 Irisalis Petals, craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis, enter the Rift Space it opens, defeat Irisalis and throw the pod you made. You get one attempt. The chapter, Legendary Journey: Windchaser’s Departure, runs from 25 September 2026, 10:00 to 10 December 2026, 07:59 UTC+8, and needs only Student I.
- Gather Irisalis Petals. The permanent sources on the petal’s How to Obtain panel add up to 107, and the notice adds a weekly-limited source it calls Iris Companion. Every source is listed in our 1.1 update article.
- Craft the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis. The notice only says “a required number” of petals. The game’s data files put it at 99, the figure our season events guide and the event page carry.
- Enter the Rift Space and win the fight. The pod “unlocks the Rift Space where Irisalis resides”. The dev letter describes the rest: enter the battle, follow the story, defeat the Legendary Aniimo.
- Throw the pod you crafted. “This encounter only happens once, so make it count,” the letter says.
- Unlock the extras. Forging your Twine unlocks the Blessing Gifts, whose contents are unpublished; befriending Irisalis unlocks the Transmog.
With 107 permanent petals against a price of 99, the free route alone covers the pod before the weekly source is counted. Petals left over are not wasted: after the Irisalis pod, 50 petals each craft up to ten Legendary Aniipod: Windchaser’s Departure, which guarantees a catch, Perfect potential and a Sparkling. Our Tracing the Trail guide covers one of the petal sources in depth.
What the beta Legendary event was like
In the beta, Irisalis was a repeatable Rift Exploration: pay an entry cost, fight, throw Aniipods for a timer, collect a currency called Pearl Cascade, and buy Irisalis for 99 of it. The video shows this from about 1:14, while AniimoSync explains why players hated it. Everything in this section is beta footage; the event panel carries runs dated 17 July 2026.
The panel’s story is that “a surge of abnormal energy has sent a newly born Legendary Aniimo into a frenzy”, and that Aniipods absorb the chaotic energy. The Rewards Preview holds three things: an Irisalis card, Prismatic Stone Fragments and Pearl Cascade. Every entry cost 1 of a purple crystal.
The rules panel splits a run into three: Preparation, where you adjust your party and your Aniipods; a Battle phase, where you defeat the frenzied Legendary Aniimo; and a Calming phase, where thrown Aniipods raise Calming Progress and Irisalis may hand you gifts. The fight runs on a one-minute clock, from 01:00 at the “Battle Start” banner.
An S grade in the fight paid 20 of the purple Aniipods, 40,000 gold coins and “Calming phase duration +10s”. So the fight was never the obstacle; it bought time for the part that cost pods. The calming timer then started at 00:35.
Each run ended on an Investigation Results screen headed “A Gift from the Legendary Aniimo”. Here it paid 7 Pearl Cascade and 3 Prismatic Stone Fragments. The Pearl Cascade tooltip explains the loop in one line: “Used in the exclusive Crevice Exploration shop to exchange for Legendary Aniimo items.”
And the item was Irisalis, marked Recommended, for 99 Pearl Cascade. The same number, 99, is what the petals cost at launch. What changed is how you earn them.
The History panel is where the grind shows. It has 9 pages; the cursor in the video steps through 8 of them and skips page 4. On those 8 pages we counted 22 runs between 06:45 and 07:27 on 17 July 2026, costing 794 Aniipod Mega and 13 Aniipod Ultra, identified by their icons, and paying 90 Pearl Cascade. Each run returned 20 Mega at the fight (one returned 10), which leaves roughly 364 Mega lost for 90 currency. The first run paid 7 Pearl Cascade; from 07:14 onwards every run paid 3 or 4. With the unseen page, the session was 25 runs in 42 minutes, and at that rate it lands close to the 99 that Irisalis cost.
How the Legendary event changed: beta versus launch
The currency, the repeat runs and the pod bill are gone; the one-time fight and a crafted pod replace them. The dev letter of 3 September 2026 says it outright: “No more repeating the challenge in the hope of a successful catch.”
| Beta (July 2026 footage) | Launch (from 25 September 2026) | |
|---|---|---|
| What you collect | Pearl Cascade, from Rift runs only | Irisalis Petals, from story, exploration and weekly sources |
| Price of Irisalis | 99 Pearl Cascade in the shop | 99 petals for the Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis |
| Attempts | Unlimited, each with an entry cost | One encounter |
| Aniipods spent | About 42 a run on the History screen | The one pod you craft |
| Currency per run | 7 at first, 3 by the end of the session | Not applicable |
| Appearance change | Shown in the Chinese beta showcase | Transmog after befriending, confirmed by the notice |
AniimoSync’s verdict on the old version is harsh and first-hand: it was “very, very chance-based, very RNG/luck, and resource dumping”, and after it “we were in shambles. It felt like we had been lied to and deceived many times.” AniimoSync credits the rebuild to the community flooding the developers’ Discord feedback, and says the developers have confirmed that the changes carry into the next Legendary Aniimo as well. A full beta versus launch comparison is promised on the channel once Irisalis is live. Our own write-up of the letter is in what Aniimo removed before launch.
Can you pay to get Irisalis faster?
According to AniimoSync, yes, but you do not have to: the developers told the channel there is a way to speed up the capture, while normal progression through quests and play still gets you there. The official notice and the dev letter never mention a paid route, and what the paid option is has not been published.
The words at 2:58: “if you want to pay to get this Aniimo faster, you absolutely can. But that is not your gate.” AniimoSync is not paying for it, and warns viewers not to panic if someone has Irisalis on day one. The arithmetic agrees: 107 permanent petals against a price of 99, before any weekly petal. It also settles, as far as a creator report can, the question our dev letter write-up left open in September: whether a paid route to a Legendary survived the rebuild. By this account it did, as an option rather than a gate. On cosmetics the paid link is already visible: one of the two known sources of Radiant Dreamshadow is the Advanced, paid track of the Companion Handbook.
Irisalis’s element, stats and kit
Irisalis is Aniilog No.013, a Grass DPS at the Nova stage with 540 total base stats. Her 130 physical attack is the highest in the Aniilog, level with Fulmintis, and she has no wild habitat, which fits a creature that lives in a Rift. The full sheet is on her Aniidex page.
| HP | Physical attack | Magic attack | Physical defence | Magic defence | Haste | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 90 | 130 | 56 | 78 | 78 | 108 | 540 |
Her kit is built on clones. Irisalis Shadow (40 EP, power 90) summons an Iris Clone for 30 seconds after Iris Shot hits; Whirling Blossom Rain (20 EP, power 60) fires homing bolts and makes every clone fire; the ultimate, Florae Descent (power 240), leaves one more clone that can coexist with the others. Her trait, Bloom Cluster, gives 1 Dance Power per clone hit, and at 9 the next skill costs 50% less EP and heals nearby allies for 8% of her max HP. Our Core Skills guide covers the boosted Irisalis Shadow.
Outside combat she is one of three Aniimo at Fly Lv.3, with Fulmintis and Infergon, as our exploration guide notes. Squad pairings are on the Irisalis squad page.
One line in the combat footage is easy to misread. The tip “Iris’s element is Grass. Use [Gracewing] for better combat results” refers to the wild Iris being fought, the Aniimo that evolves into Irisal, found in the Sea of Flowers (see it on the map). It recommends Gracewing, the winged Wind Aniimo that evolves from Flutternym, because Wind hits Grass for 1.6. The same chart decides Irisalis’s matchups, straight from our element chart:
| Irisalis (Grass) | ×1.6 | ×0.625 |
|---|---|---|
| Her attacks | Earth, Water | Fire, Grass, Light |
| Attacks against her | Dark, Fire, Wind | Earth, Grass, Water |
What it means for future Legendary Aniimo
The developers say the Irisalis design is the template for every Legendary Aniimo to come; whether other Legendaries also get a Transmog is not announced. The 3 September dev letter put it flatly: “This design will be the template for every Legendary Aniimo encounter to come.” The producer’s interview of 14 September added a condition, “as long as players enjoy this updated process”.
AniimoSync asks the question the notice leaves open, at 0:58: will future Legendary Aniimo get something similar, or is the Transmog exclusive to Irisalis? For now “exclusive” is the notice’s word, and it applies to Irisalis alone. AniimoSync’s reading of the stakes is that the launch event is a test of the studio’s promises: if it is as much better as the developers say, it “will really solidify the words that Aniimo has expressed to us”. We will add that comparison, and the real Transmog menu, when they exist. Until then, the petal count on the Walking with Irisalis event page is the thing to watch.
