Aniimo Mementos Shop: How to Gift Friends
Gifting in Aniimo is one shop and four menus, and the shop sells exactly two things. The useful half is the money behind them: what Voxel Coins and Glimmer are, every source the client lists for Glimmer, and what 88 Glimmer costs you elsewhere. AniimoSync ran the whole chain on camera on 21 September 2026.

Gifts in Aniimo are sold in one place: Mementos, the gift shop on Chill Street in Astra, where a Gift of Affection costs 28 Voxel Coins and a Gift of Celebration costs 88 Glimmer. You send one from the menu: Friends, the friend’s portrait, then Gift. Each friend carries a separate weekly gift counter, and the panel prints how many you have left, never the ceiling.
The button order is the easy half. The half worth reading is the money: what Voxel Coins and Glimmer are, where the client says each one comes from, and what else the two buy, because 88 Glimmer spent on a gift is 88 Glimmer not spent on the Glimmer shelf. AniimoSync filmed the whole chain in the live client on 21 September 2026. Every price, label and tooltip below was read off his frames and checked against the site’s own tables.
How do you send gifts to friends in Aniimo?
Buy first, send second. There is no shop inside the Friends menu, which is why the Gift button so often opens on an empty list and people conclude gifting is not in the game yet. The chain, as AniimoSync runs it:
- Open the Astra map and find the Mementos pin, south west of Horizon Square.
- Press Teleport on the pin card, zone in, then interact with the shop door.
- Buy a gift: Gift of Affection for 28 Voxel Coins, or Gift of Celebration for 88 Glimmer.
- Open the menu and choose Friends.
- Click the friend’s portrait, then press Gift on the card beside the list.
- Pick the gift in the Send Gift window and press Send Gift.
Where is the Mementos shop in Astra?
On the high street in the Chill Street block, a short hop south west of the Horizon Square travel point, and the map pin carries its own Teleport button so you never have to find it twice. The coordinate readout under the pin reads -0016, 0369.
The game’s own text for the marker names the category the shop belongs to rather than the one on the sign: A Mementos branch store on the high street that sells Bond items. Our Astra interactive map carries that line on the Mementos row, one of 16 shops and services pinned inside the city, and the Show link there zooms the map straight to it.
Inside, the shop calls itself something else again. The header above the shelf reads Mementos, Gift Shop, the standee outside reads MEMENTOS. More than a gift. It’s a moment of bliss., and the two items on sale are filed under the category Giftbox. Bond item, gift shop, giftbox: three names for one shelf, which is a fair part of why searches for it go nowhere. Search the word Mementos and nothing else.
What the Mementos gift shop sells, and what it costs
Two items. That is the entire shelf. Both are filed as Giftbox, both carry a How to Obtain list one line long that reads Shop, and both spell out on the card what sending them does.
| Item | Price | Currency | The card’s own line |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gift of Affection | 28 | Voxel Coin | Sending it to a friend also grants 30 Affinity. |
| Gift of Celebration | 88 | Glimmer | Sending it to a friend also grants 99 Affinity. |
One small correction to the narration. AniimoSync reads the cheaper gift as 30 affinity of friendship level and the dearer one as 99 friendship level. Both numbers are right and both are on screen, but the card says Affinity, and so does the toast that fires when a gift lands. Friendship level is the number stamped on the portrait in the friend list, and nothing in this footage shows how much Affinity moves it.
What are Voxel Coins in Aniimo, and where do they come from?
Voxel Coin is the gold triangle in the wallet, and it is the cheap gift currency: 28 against 88. AniimoSync never opens its currency card, so unlike Glimmer there is no in-client How to Obtain list to quote, and our tables carry none either. What is documented is where it turns up and what it buys.
- Elite Training pays it. The Path of Splendor reward toast in our Wayfarer levelling guide reads Safaris ×100 and Voxel Coin ×30, so one objective is about one Gift of Affection.
- The Star-Crossed Tea Party pays it. ChillBeanz in Astra runs the tea party nightly from 18:00 to 02:00, and an evening there pays up to 150 coins a day on the screen in our Season 1 events guide.
- There is a weekly ceiling. The same guide reads a Voxel Coin counter at 63/1000, so 1,000 a week is the documented allowance: 35 Gifts of Affection, far more than the per friend counter allows.
Spending it, the gift shop is a sideshow. The Curio Corner Shop sells single clothing pieces for Voxel Coins on a four slot daily rotation, 100 to 400 a piece, with one free reroll and a lock that keeps a slot through the refresh: our cash shop and outfits guide has that list and the outfit pages have the sets. Super Lucky Star, also pinned on the Astra map, is the other sink, described by the game in eight words: Voxel Coins can be used for a prize draw.
What is Glimmer in Aniimo, and what else does 88 of it buy?
Glimmer is the blue gem, the premium currency you can earn, and the client’s own card calls it a glowing gem used to purchase items from outpost vendors. The flavour line under it reads A rare item scattered across the land of Idyll, shining with an ever-burning radiance. AniimoSync hovers it at 0:26, which is the most useful two seconds in the video, because the card lists every source the game recognises.
That How to Obtain list, word for word: Elite Training, Daily Activity Quests, Branch, Defeat Alphas, Complete Quests, Courses, Aniilog Level, Holo-Battle Sim, Companion Handbook, Chest. Ten entries, all of them ordinary play. Three more routes sit outside the list because they come from outside the world: Twitch drops pay 50 Glimmer at the one hour mark, the three live redemption codes that include Glimmer pay 50, 20 and 10 for 80 between them, and the first purchase of each Lumin Crystal tier pays a one off Glimmer bonus at one per crystal.
Because it is the same Glimmer that buys everything else. The Glimmer tab of the Shop’s Item list sells the Aniipod Ultra at 200 with a weekly limit of 10, the Morph Orb at 300 with a weekly limit of 10, a Hair Saloon Card at 300, Psyche Fruit at 100, Primegy ×60 at 50 and Sparkling Crystal ×10 at 15 with a weekly limit of 100 purchases. That last row prices everything else: 1,500 Glimmer of crystals is 1,000 Sparkling Crystals, which is exactly one Sparkling Cube a week, as our Aniipod and Sparkling Cube guide works through. A Cube costs what 17 Gifts of Celebration cost.
Voxel Coin or Glimmer: what each one really buys
Nothing in the client exchanges one currency for the other, so the comparison that matters is what each is worth against its own alternatives.
| Voxel Coin | Glimmer | |
|---|---|---|
| Gift it buys | Gift of Affection, 28 | Gift of Celebration, 88 |
| Affinity granted | 30 | 99 |
| Cost per point of Affinity | 0.93 coins | 0.89 Glimmer |
| Weekly income on record | 1,000, counter read at 63/1000 | No ceiling published |
| What else it buys | Curio Corner clothing, Super Lucky Star draws | Aniipod Ultra 200, Morph Orb 300, Sparkling Crystal ×10 at 15 |
| What a gift costs you | A cosmetic piece, or a draw | One seventeenth of a Sparkling Cube |
As a ratio the two gifts are priced almost identically, within four per cent of one unit of currency per point of Affinity. The difference is the queue behind each currency. Voxel Coins have nothing urgent to buy. Glimmer has the Sparkling Crystal row, and our free to play reading of the shop makes clearing that row the recommended weekly spend. So: buy Affection with coins as the default, and treat Celebration as a Glimmer purchase competing with the crystal row rather than as a free upgrade.
Sending the gift from the Friends menu
Menu, Friends in the right hand rail, the friend, then Gift. The Friend List opens with a search box that takes a nickname, a note or a UID, and a header reading Friends(43/99) on AniimoSync’s account, so 99 is the ceiling on friends. He says the Friends header re-orders the list from highest friendship level to lowest. On these frames the list is not in that order, so treat the sort as a toggle rather than the default state.
Clicking a portrait opens a card beside the list: Visit Home, Profile, Friends Tree, Team Up, which puts the two of you in one squad, Chat, Gift, and two more Aniimo entries below. Companion Mode and Ask to Join Companion sit greyed out underneath, which matters for a reason the last section explains.
Is there a weekly gifting limit in Aniimo?
Yes, and it is counted per friend rather than per account. The Send Gift window prints one line, This week Gifts Remaining, and on the same account at the same moment it read 0 for Loba and 3 for Pez. Sending a single gift to Pez took it from 3 to 2.
What no screen shows is the ceiling. Nothing in this footage prints a maximum, the counter only counts down, and no figure for it exists in our tables either. The number of gifts per friend per week is not published. The only bound the footage sets is a lower one: at least three, because Pez still had three left with the week already under way.
The reset hour is not on the panel either. Aniimo runs its weekly reset on Monday at 04:00, which our menu, dailies and weekly caps guide reads off the client and the daily checklist repeats, and a counter labelled This week very probably follows it. Very probably is not documented, so it is written here as an inference and nothing more.
The button under the counter changes with the selection, which is worth knowing because it is the only feedback the window gives. With a gift you own and gifts remaining it reads Send Gift. Select a gift you own none of and it becomes How to Obtain. Spend your last one and it becomes Bonus with Purchase.
What is a gift actually worth?
For the sender, exactly what the item card promises. The toast at 1:36 reads Affinity with Pez increased by 30. and, under it, Gift of Affection decreased 1. The weekly counter drops to 2 and the item leaves the bag. That half is on camera and beyond argument.
The recipient’s half is not. AniimoSync says Pez has gained a gift and we’ve both gained affinity plus 30, and the second clause is his reading rather than something the screen shows: one toast fires, and it is the sender’s. The card’s wording, Sending it to a friend also grants 30 Affinity, does imply the Affinity comes on top of whatever is inside the box, but the client never says here what that is. What the recipient opens is not published. The one pointer in the footage is a canned chat line at 1:44 reading There’s a gift I sent you in your Mail, then don’t forget to claim it!, which puts delivery in the mailbox rather than straight into the bag.
Per point of Affinity the two gifts cost within a whisker of the same: 0.93 Voxel Coins against 0.89 Glimmer. If Affinity is the only thing a gift moves, the Celebration is not better value, it is a bigger single step in a currency you have other plans for.
The third gift: Gift of Encounter
The Send Gift window lists three items, not two. Above Affection sits a green Gift of Encounter, and Mementos does not sell it. AniimoSync owns none, never mentions it, and never presses the How to Obtain button that replaces Send Gift when it is selected, so its source is nowhere in this footage.
Our Tracing the Trail event guide has already had to flag the name once, for the opposite reason: the quest item that event hands out is a Chance Encounter Gift: Energy Resonance, filed as a Quest Item, and it is a different thing with a confusingly similar name. Where the Gift of Encounter comes from is one for the client to answer, and this page will say so when it does.
Gifting is not Companion Mode
Most of what is written about gifting in Aniimo is about something else. Companion Mode is the system where a player joins someone else’s world in a support role, and handing a caught Aniimo over inside it is a separate exchange with its own rules. On the friend card, both Companion Mode buttons sit greyed out beside a Gift button that works, which is the plainest statement the client makes about the two being unrelated.
There is a third gifting route as well, and it is the one to know about if you play with someone who does not pay. The Companion Handbook panel says a friend with no paid tier who meets an Affinity requirement can be sent an item that activates one, and our Companion Handbook guide covers that panel. The requirement is stated in Affinity, which is the one thing every gifting route in the game moves.
