Aniimo Season 1 Part 2 Gameplay Showcase: What the 29 October Trailer Shows, Scene by Scene

The official gameplay showcase for Departure with the Wind: Part 2 is ten minutes of footage and almost no words, and AniimoSync published it with his reaction on 22 October 2026. We went through it frame by frame: the island village, Bubble Drift, a bee you can fly, a CATCH x7 group catch, five Prismana in motion, a PvP arena with four Aniimo a side, and a pumpkin-headed Homeland.

Aniimo Season 1 Part 2, Departure with the Wind: Part 2, begins with the 29 October 2026 update, and its official gameplay showcase shows the Whisperwake Isles, a bee Aniimo you can fly, a group catch that reads CATCH x7, five Prismana in motion, a PvP arena with four Aniimo a side, Egg Heist, Alpha fights and a Halloween Homeland. The trailer closes on a key art card that reads Season 1 - Departure with the Wind: Part 2 · Begins October 29, which matches the 12:00 (UTC+8) start every earlier notice gave.

10:25. Official key art at the end of the showcase. The date on it, 29 October, is the only date the trailer gives.

AniimoSync published the showcase with his first reaction on 22 October 2026. From 0:15 to 10:28 his video is the official footage, stamped In-game footage · Work in progress in the corner, with no commentary over it; he talks at the start and from 10:30, and says a frame-by-frame breakdown is coming in a second video. This page does that breakdown now, in the order a player will meet things: the island, the Aniimo, the new ways to move and catch, the Prismana, the fights, PvP, then the Homeland. Every timestamp is his video’s.

One warning before the scenes. The trailer runs almost all of its interface text through a scrambled font, so menu titles, Aniimo names and boss names cannot be read. Key prompts (Tab, Alt, Ctrl, F8), timers, percentages and one line in plain letters, CATCH x7, come through. Names below come from the official Update Preview of 16 October 2026 and the game’s own data files, build 1.0.0.7, checked on 23 October 2026; where a name is our matching of a silhouette to that preview, it is labelled as such.

What does the Aniimo Season 1 Part 2 trailer show?

Ten minutes of in-game footage in six blocks: the Whisperwake Isles and their Aniimo (1:15 to 5:15), new catching and movement (5:15 to 6:00), a roll call of new and Prismana forms (6:00 to 7:00), boss and Alpha fights (7:05 to 7:55), PvP and Egg Heist (8:00 to 9:20), and Halloween in the RV and the Homeland (9:25 to 10:20). Before that comes a cinematic opening under a PAWPRINT STUDIO presents card, ending on the Aniimo logo at 1:10.

0:25. Official footage, stamped In-game footage · Work in progress like every shot after it. The islands are the first look at the new region.

Here is the trailer as a timeline, with what each block shows and how firm the name attached to it is. “Preview” means the official Update Preview of 16 October 2026; “our match” means we compared the footage with that preview’s art.

What is not in it matters as much. The trailer shows no shop, no battle pass screen, no prices and no event menus, so nothing here changes the dates and sources in our Season 1 Part 2 Prismana article or the kit numbers in our 29 October update article.

Whisperwake Isles on screen: a white village, open water and Bubble Drift

The new region gets the first four minutes: a whitewashed village of round houses and blue pools, pale sea stacks, palm beaches, coral fields and a lagoon you cross inside a bubble. None of it is captioned, but it is the island the closed beta showed, down to the bubbles, and the preview names Whisperwake Isles as the region of this update.

1:15. Official footage. The village is the first gameplay shot of the trailer, with sea stacks and a pink coral spire on the horizon.

At 1:30 the Pathfinder runs across the surface of deep blue water, a blue winged Aniimo flying alongside, under a ring of stone pillars and a tree that grows out of the sea. A water-drop icon sits above the stamina orbs while it happens. Whether that is a region rule, an Aniimo skill or a scripted moment, the trailer does not say, so we only describe it.

1:30. Official footage. Running on open water with a water-drop icon over the stamina orbs: shown, not explained.

Bubble Drift is the confirmed one. The early look at the region in our Whisperwake Isles article showed it in the closed beta: an Aniimo inside a giant soap bubble, a Pop prompt to burst it. The showcase shows both halves. At 2:20 a coral-spined Aniimo, the Reefish line by its look, floats in a bubble with a prompt on F, and the HUD reads 2/4 with a 2P marker, so this is co-op footage with a second player in the party. At 3:20 a blue bird drifts over the lagoon in its own bubble, with a Space prompt on the left.

2:20. Official footage. The F prompt beside the bubble is in the same spot as the Pop prompt of the closed beta; the 2/4 at the top left is the party count.

The village and the lagoon are worth a glance for one practical reason: the preview gates the region behind three conditions, Lv. 55, Grade I Trailblazer and the story “A Tale of Tide and Song”. If you are short of any of them, our Part 1 deadline checklist has what to clear before 29 October.

Which new Aniimo appear in the trailer?

The only base-form Aniimo we can name with certainty are Gachapus and Popapus, the gacha octopus pair, at 3:00; the others are a coral line, coin-headed jellyfish, ice cream Aniimo, a bee line and a few the trailer gives no clue to. The preview counts 32 new species and 51 new Aniimo for the season; the trailer shows perhaps a dozen of them, unnamed.

3:00. Official footage. Gachapus on the right, Popapus on the left, both with the glass dome of coloured balls that gives the family its gacha theme.

Gachapus is a Water DPS in the launch build, and its Jackpot kit is worked out in our Gachapus article and on its Aniidex page. Popapus sits in the same files, flagged unreleased like the other Whisperwake Aniimo, and the key art at 10:25 puts it on the card next to four creatures the trailer never names.

At 2:30 two blue jellyfish with bronze coins for heads hover over a beach. menaceFT guessed, from the preview’s icons, that Pouchwisp is “the Aniimo with coins on its head”. These fit that description better than anything else in the trailer, which makes the guess stronger, not confirmed. If it holds, Prismana Pouchwisp is the special Prismana of the Vein Abundance week of 2 to 8 November.

2:30. Official footage. Coins on their heads, which is how menaceFT read the Pouchwisp icon in the preview. Our match, not a confirmed name.

From 3:55 to 4:10 the trailer leaves the beaches for a pink candy land of cream hills and ice cream cones, where blob Aniimo wear waffle cones like hats. menaceFT reads Sugartini as “the ice cream girl” of the roster, and its Prismana form appears at 6:15, so these are probably its earlier stages. Probably: the trailer does not link them. The same pink ground hosts a timed boss fight at 7:05, which suggests a real area rather than a set built for the trailer.

4:05. Official footage. Ice cream Aniimo in the candy land; likely the Sugartini line, unconfirmed.

Flying and catching seven at once: the new mechanics

Two mechanics are new to anything shown before: a bee Aniimo you steer through the air, and a group catch that rolls several wild Aniimo into one cloud and ends on a CATCH x7 banner. Both are AniimoSync’s “new gameplay mechanics”, and both are shown, not explained.

From 4:25 a round bee Aniimo buzzes through a gorge of cliffs and giant flowers. At 4:45 the camera sits behind it, its portrait in the top right slot, and the prompt line under it ends in what reads as Space to fly through the scrambled font, with fly up and fly down on Space and Ctrl at the bottom right. menaceFT matched Royalby, the Vein Abundance Prismana of 9 to 15 November, to a bee icon; a golden bee queen with a glowing honeycomb body also appears at 6:20. Neither is named on screen.

4:45. Official footage. A prompt ending in “Space to fly”, with up on Space and down on Ctrl: the flight controls, readable even through the scrambled text.

The catch sequence runs from 5:40 to 5:55. First a Pathfinder throws at a purple dark orb with the Aniipod bar open (5:45). Then a field of small cloud Aniimo gets the treatment: a pop-up appears on the left, damage numbers of 107 land on several at once, a large cloud rolls over the group, and at 5:55 the banner reads CATCH x7, in plain letters, with a hold-to-cancel button on the right.

Aniimo CATCH x7 banner over a meadow as a giant cloud rolls up seven small cloud Aniimo, with WASD Move and Hold to cancel prompts
5:55. Official footage. CATCH x7, the only gameplay text in the trailer left unscrambled. Seven catches from one action.

If it works the way it looks, it matters for anyone farming catches. Lucky Strike checks are counted per successful catch, as our Lucky Strike odds article lays out, so seven catches from one action would be seven checks. That is a reading of the banner, not a rule anyone has published, and the trailer does not show whether every catch in the cloud succeeds.

Five Prismana in motion, and a blue Hypnyto lookalike

From 6:05 to 6:55 the trailer shows, one after another, Prismana Whirlbite, Prismana Sugartini, Prismana Gachapus, Prismana Jabster and Prismana Ekrim, each matching the official preview art down to the details. It is the first time any of them has been seen moving in the game rather than as a render.

6:50Ekrim, white and red dragonSeason Achievement29 Oct to 9 Dec

The Gachapus one is worth a line. The launch build has no Prismana Gachapus, which the Prismana article pointed out; the preview added one with a galaxy dome, and the trailer now shows it at 6:30. Whatever the launch build says, the form is real.

6:35. Official footage. Prismana Jabster, the gold claws and disco ball eyes menaceFT described from the preview art.

Ekrim at 6:50 is the free one of the season-exclusive pair, through Season Achievement, the milestone track explained in our Season 1 events guide. The white body, red bat wings and flaming crest are the preview art’s. We did not spot Hypnyto, the other season-exclusive Prismana, in its pink Prismana colours anywhere in the ten minutes.

6:55. Official footage. Prismana Ekrim, the Season Achievement reward from 29 October to 9 December 2026.

What does appear, at 6:00 and on AniimoSync’s thumbnail, is a blue and white winged cat with the same ears, wings and tail as the Prismana Hypnyto art. Our reading is that it is Hypnyto’s regular form. If so, it supports menaceFT’s expectation that a non-Prismana Hypnyto exists for players who do not take the Companion Handbook route. Nothing in the trailer names it, and the preview does not mention it.

Alpha and boss fights, timers and a 250% marker

The fight block, 7:05 to 7:55, shows four boss encounters: a timed fight in the candy land, a fight on a frozen lake, an Alpha whose bar starts with the shape of the word Alpha, and a boss in front of a tree that grows out of the sea. AniimoSync lists “new Alphas, new Omegas” among what he saw; the trailer itself never labels an Omega.

Three details are readable. The candy land fight at 7:05 has a countdown under the boss bar, 05:58 when we stopped the frame. Boss bars at 7:05, 7:45 and in the PvP arena carry a 250% figure with an orange arrow at their right end. And at 7:20 to 7:25 a winged Aniimo summons a giant star-filled owl spirit with two galaxies for wings, the most elaborate skill animation in the trailer. What the 250% measures, the trailer does not say.

Aniimo Alpha fight in the Season 1 Part 2 trailer: ice and fire skills hit a boss whose scrambled bar title starts like Alpha, squad of four on the right
7:35. Official footage. An Alpha fight with a full squad of four on the right, skill cooldowns at the bottom right.

New Alphas and their mechanics were promised in the 13 October Dev Feedback, read out in our 1.1 article, which also covers the ATK change that will touch every one of these fights. How Alpha rewards and their held items work today is in our Alpha Core guide.

What does PvP look like in Aniimo?

PvP in the trailer is a round arena, two Pathfinders’ names at the top corners with four pips under each, a squad of four Aniimo per side, a countdown clock, and an objective that reads, through the scrambled font, as defeat all of your opponent’s Aniimo. The preview lists real-time 1v1 duels as a permanent feature from 29 October; the footage makes clear that 1v1 means one player against one player, each with a full squad.

Aniimo PvP arena in the Season 1 Part 2 trailer: two player names with four pips each, a 04:01 countdown, an objective line and a squad of four
8:45. Official footage. Four pips per player, a 04:01 clock under the objective, and the same skill and Control buttons as a field battle.

The clock reads 02:31 at 8:05 and 04:01 at 8:45, so either rounds are timed separately or the clips come from different matches; the trailer cuts too often to tell. The controls are the field battle’s, Control included, which fits menaceFT’s guess that duels play “like Pathfinder battle style”. Nothing on screen hints at PvP-only element rules, so plan with the chart on our elements page.

That last point is the one to act on. menaceFT’s advice to bring the form with the fewest weaknesses, worked through on Turbo in the PvP forms section, holds for a four-Aniimo squad as much as for one. For squads that already work in PvE, start from the tier list.

Egg Heist with two scores on screen

From 8:55 to 9:20 the trailer shows Operation: Egg Heist in ruined temples and a flowery meadow, with two percentage counters at the top of the screen, one purple and one gold, both starting at 0.0%. The preview adds a fair-play PvP mode to Egg Heist as a permanent feature; two coloured scores side by side is what a team-against-team mode would look like. That is our reading of the HUD, not a description anyone has published.

Aniimo Egg Heist in the Season 1 Part 2 trailer: a purple and a gold 0.0% score at the top, a 04:14 timer and a fight in temple ruins
9:00. Official footage. Two scores at 0.0%, a 2/4 party, a 04:14 timer under the minimap and a fight in temple ruins.

At 8:55 a Pathfinder stands inside a giant golden egg in a nest, and from 9:05 a round brown token with a spiral sits on the ground, waiting to be picked up. How the mode plays today is in our Egg Heist beginner guide; the easier entry and rescue rewards the developers promised are in the 1.1 article linked above.

Aniimo Halloween: pumpkin heads, a spooky RV and a pumpkin field

The Halloween block shows an RV dressed with jack-o’-lanterns, cauldrons and potion bottles, Pathfinders in pumpkin-head outfits with green aprons, a flying pumpkin-hat Aniimo, a field of glowing orange pumpkin crops, and two furnished cottage interiors. It matches the two Halloween events in the preview, Night Parade and the Magical Night Home Event, both from 29 October to 9 December 2026.

9:30. Official footage. Pumpkin-head outfits in front of a decorated RV; on the left, a pumpkin Aniimo wearing a flower-trimmed hat.

The outfits are the cosmetics AniimoSync means when he says the Halloween content “looks incredible”. The trailer shows no shop or reward screen, so how they are obtained is not shown; when they land, they will join the outfits page. The RV decorations are the part he singles out for “the RV Homeland people”, and RV progress itself is laid out level by level on our RV levels page.

Aniimo Homeland pumpkin field in the Season 1 Part 2 trailer: rows of glowing orange pumpkin crops behind a white picket fence and a cottage
10:05. Official footage. A Homeland field of glowing pumpkins, the kind of limited crop the Magical Night event names.

Magical Night’s two limited crops in the preview are Magic Pumpkin and Memoryglow Fruit. The glowing orange plants at 10:05 look like the first; the trailer does not label them. menaceFT expects Magical Night to take over from the Harvest Moon Festival, which ends on 27 October. Day to day, the farm and its recipes are on our Homeland hub, and every date above will be on the events calendar once the update is live.

AniimoSync’s take, and what to do before 29 October

AniimoSync watches the whole showcase without a word and sums up at 10:30: “There are so many new things in this trailer. There’s new gameplay mechanics. There’s obviously new story.” He lists new Aniimo, new Prismana, Alphas, Omegas, PvP and Egg Heist, and promises a frame-by-frame video because “this is a 10-minute video already”.

AniimoSync on camera after the Aniimo Season 1 Part 2 trailer, in headphones at his microphone with a white Aniimo plush behind him
10:55. AniimoSync after the trailer: the RV and Homeland content is what he is happiest about.

His favourite is not the combat. “Honestly, I’m very happy for the RV Homeland people because they are getting some love,” he says at 10:54, “and the Halloween cosmetics look incredible.” It is a fair call on the footage: two of the ten minutes go to the RV and the Homeland, more than to PvP. His sign-off, “we’re eating good October 29th”, is the only date he gives, and it matches the key art.

Three things follow for players. Clear the Lv. 55, Grade I Trailblazer and story conditions before 29 October if you want the island on day one. Keep Aniipods for the first week, when Bubble Drift, group catches and five Prismana all arrive together. And if PvP is your plan, decide on forms now: a Prismana form can carry a 2.56 weakness that the base form does not.

Shown, confirmed, inferred: where this trailer stands against earlier coverage

Shown in the trailer: the 29 October start on the key art, the island village and lagoon, Bubble Drift with co-op, Gachapus and Popapus, coin-headed jellyfish, a candy land with ice cream Aniimo, a bee you fly with Space and Ctrl, a CATCH x7 group catch, five Prismana in game, timed boss fights and a 250% marker, a four-a-side PvP arena with a clock, Egg Heist with two scores, pumpkin-head outfits, a Halloween RV and a pumpkin field.

Aniimo Prismana Gachapus in game, a silver octopus with a galaxy glass dome and a planet ring, under green aurora by a shore
6:30. Official footage. Prismana Gachapus, the form the launch build does not have, in game.

Confirmed by the official preview: the names and sources of Prismana Whirlbite, Sugartini, Gachapus, Jabster and Ekrim, the PvP duels and the fair-play Egg Heist mode as permanent, and the Night Parade and Magical Night dates. Our matches and readings: the coin jellyfish as Pouchwisp, the bee as Royalby, the ice cream blobs as the Sugartini line, the blue winged cat as Hypnyto’s regular form, the two Egg Heist scores as teams, and the pumpkins as Magic Pumpkin.

Against earlier coverage on this site, the trailer agrees on every date and adds three things: Prismana Gachapus exists in game although the launch build had none, the PvP duel is a full squad of four on each side, and a group catch exists at all. Nothing in it contradicts what Nia, AsPig, ZakkuVerse or menaceFT reported, and the closed beta warning in those articles still stands: this footage is stamped work in progress too.
