Aniimo Dazmand Event Guide: How to Get Dazmand, Searches, Research Center Bonuses and Perfect Dazmand
Dazmand has no wild habitat: you find it with the Aniimo Discovery event’s searches. AniimoSync played two searches on day one; we checked the video’s 12 quests, the three Research Center tiers and the rewards against the game’s data files.

The event walkthrough, both searches, the quest order and the Dazmand verdict come from AniimoSync’s video of 25 September 2026
Dazmand is the Lightning Support you catch in Aniimo Discovery, the search event open from 25 September 04:00 to 9 October 2026 03:59 (UTC+8) from the title Student II: press Search on the event screen, follow the tracked marker, and catch the group that appears inside the blue circle. In AniimoSync’s run both searches landed north of the Rosetower Woods teleport in Breezy Plains, and each gave exactly three Dazmand.
The event has few rules and a lot of menus, so this guide follows AniimoSync’s video of 25 September 2026 screen by screen: the five searches, the 12 research quests, the three Research Center bonuses, and AniimoSync’s one piece of advice that changes your results, which is to finish the easy quests before you spend your free searches. What the video does not show, from Dazmand’s stats to the Perfect Dazmand Egg, comes from the game’s data files and is labelled that way.
Dazmand in Aniimo: what it is and where it comes from
Dazmand is Aniilog No.038, a Lightning Support at the Nova stage with 522 total base stats, and this event is the first place the game hands it out. The catch card at 2:32 reads “Basic Form”, “Dazmand”, “Nova Stage”, with the Lightning icon, the Support badge and the line “Its untamed heart beats with the rhythm of electric dance steps.”
The game’s data files put it in the Pomegg family. Pomegg, a Grass Break Aniimo at the Lumin stage, branches into either Pomawk or Dazmand. The files give Dazmand no wild habitat of its own, and the only source they list is “Evolve a Pomegg”. The video agrees in its own way: the Dazmand AniimoSync tracks down are dancing in a crowd of Pomegg, in the woods where Pomegg lives.
The files do not say which item or condition turns a Pomegg into a Dazmand rather than a Pomawk. The event’s first reward, Thunder Soul, is the obvious suspect, and the evolution section sets out exactly what its tooltip says and does not say.
Aniimo Discovery event: dates, unlock and the event screen
Aniimo Discovery runs from 25 September 2026, 04:00 to 9 October 2026, 03:59 (UTC+8), needs Student II, and sits under Events › Aniimo Discovery. Those are the times in the official 23 September update notice. In UTC the last minute is 19:59 on 8 October, which is why our event page lists 8 October. On the day AniimoSync recorded, the screen read “Event Ending In 13d 23h”.
The headline is “The Institute has discovered a brand-new Aniimo in Idyll! Go track it down!”, and four blocks sit under it:
- Research Center (0/3), “Conducting research grants a Search Bonus.” Three bonus tiers, covered below.
- Main Rewards: four icons. Thunder Soul, a golden egg, a blue crystal in a bubble, and a Tumbler.
- Remaining Searches: 5/5 (First 3 are free), and under it “2d 23h until reset.”
- Research Quest 0/12, which opens the quest list, and the Search button, whose cost chip reads x0 while a free search is left.
Only Thunder Soul is hovered in the video. AniimoSync calls the egg a “perfect Dazmand egg” and the crystal “sparkling crystals”, but neither tooltip is opened, so the rewards section treats both as unconfirmed. The 23 September update is covered in full in our 1.1 patch guide.
How Dazmand searches work: five per cycle, three free
Each press of Search spends one of five searches, the first three free, and marks a “Dazmand family” on your map; the counter refills on a timer that read 2d 23h on launch day. The update notice says extra searches cost Vein Essence and warns that “unspent free attempts do not stack”. The video never pays for one, so the price of searches four and five is unknown. AniimoSync’s view is that you will not need them “unless you just really like Dazmand and you want to farm him early”.
Press Search and the button turns grey and reads Tracking, while the counter drops to 4/5. Press Track and the map opens on the target, with a panel headed Aniimo Discovery: “After searching, a large number of target Aniimo were found here. Come quickly to investigate!” A countdown runs beside “Discovered a Dazmand family.” in the top corner.
Under Research Bonus the panel reads “During searches, the probability of encountering Dazmand increases by 0%”. That is accurate before any quest is done, and AniimoSync’s advice at 1:58 is to ignore it: the family is there either way.
The countdown is worth watching. It read 07:43 at 1:48 of the video and 09:57 a few seconds after the second search, which suggests a found family waits for about ten minutes. That is an observation from two searches, not a rule the game states, and the video never lets one run out.
Where to find Dazmand: north of the Rosetower Woods teleport
In AniimoSync’s run both searches put the Dazmand family at map coordinates 0102, 0962 in Breezy Plains, straight north of the Rosetower Woods teleport beacon. AniimoSync’s route: select the beacon, which reads Lv.53~54 Rosetower Woods, teleport, and fly north. AniimoSync is careful to say this is where that search rolled, so check your own tracked marker before you fly. Whether the spot changes between players or between days is not shown.
On arrival a glowing blue line crosses the ground. It is the edge of the search circle, drawn in yellow on the minimap, and AniimoSync puts it simply: if you are outside the circle, you will not see Dazmand. Inside it, on a hilltop, three Dazmand were dancing among Pomegg of Lv.47 and 48, well under the woods’ recommended level.
AniimoSync throws one Tumbler and it takes the whole group. The data files describe the Tumbler as a rolling Aniipod with a 1.5x capture chance that catches “Aniimo along the way”, which is why it suits a tight cluster, and our Aniipod page has its shop price. The first catch quest pays one straight back.
On the second search AniimoSync catches them one at a time with an Aniipod Pro instead. The labels read Lv.47 Dazmand and Lv.48 Pomegg, and the HUD shows 57% with “x1.5 Aniipod Pro”. Three Dazmand again and, in AniimoSync’s words, “no extra spawns”, although the Dazmand encounter bonus was at 50% by then.
Two searches at three each is a small sample, but enough to plan with: the 20-catch quest takes seven searches. If the 2d 23h timer is the length of a cycle, a player who only uses free searches reaches seven in the third cycle, around 1 October, with a week of the event to spare. That is our arithmetic on the timer, not a published refill rate. Our interactive map filtered on Pomegg in Rosetower Woods shows where Pomegg lives there; Dazmand has no marker because the search, not a spawn table, places it.
Aniimo Discovery research quests: all 12 and their rewards
The event has 12 research quests in three tabs of a screen called Ecological Investigation: Catch Aniimo (5 quests), Aniimo Trials (3) and Aniimo Companions (4). Every one is about Dazmand, and only the catch totals need more than a single Dazmand in your party. Each tab also pays a bonus for finishing all its quests. The list, with the in-game progress counters removed:
| Tab | Quest, as written in game | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Catch Aniimo | Catch a total of 3 Dazmand. | Tumbler x1 |
| Catch Aniimo | Catch a total of 5 Dazmand. | Tumbler x1 |
| Catch Aniimo | Catch a total of 10 Dazmand. | Tumbler x2 |
| Catch Aniimo | Catch a total of 20 Dazmand. | Golden egg x1, not named |
| Catch Aniimo | Catch 1 Dazmand with an Elite rating or higher. | Tumbler x3 |
| All 5 done | Complete all quests in this investigation. | Thunder Soul x1, Tumbler x5 |
| Aniimo Trials | Defeat 1 Aniimo while Dazmand is deployed. | Dewdrop Crystal x40 |
| Aniimo Trials | Defeat 3 Aniimo while Dazmand is deployed. | Dewdrop Crystal x50 |
| Aniimo Trials | Defeat 5 Aniimo while Dazmand is deployed. | Dewdrop Crystal x60 |
| All 3 done | Complete all quests in this investigation. | Pink fruit x2, not named; Dewdrop Crystal x50 |
| Aniimo Companions | Use any of Dazmand’s skills 1 time. | Flower bud x10, not named |
| Aniimo Companions | Use any of Dazmand’s skills 3 times. | Flower bud x15 |
| Aniimo Companions | Use any of Dazmand’s skills 5 times. | Flower bud x20 |
| Aniimo Companions | Use Dazmand’s Ultimate 1 time. | Flower bud x20 |
| All 4 done | Complete all quests in this investigation. | Blue crystal x100 and crystal cluster x3, not named |
“Not named” means the reward icon is never hovered in the video, and we will not guess at it. The one tooltip AniimoSync opens, at 1:08, is the Breezy Plains Dewdrop Crystal: a Resonance Material that “Can be used for Resonance Star-up to enhance attributes of Aniimo in Breezy Plains.” AniimoSync already had 3,385 of them, so the Trials tab is the least exciting of the three.
The Companions tab is the one to clear first, because it asks for nothing but a Dazmand in your party. The bonus for all four is the blue crystal in a bubble, 100 of them, the same icon as the third Main Reward.
Research Center bonuses: Nova, Potential and Sparkling Secrets
The Research Center turns completed quests into three search bonuses, four quests per tier, in a fixed order: Dazmand encounter chance up to +50%, Perfect chance up to +200%, then Sparkling chance up to +100%. The rules text says the bonus is “applied in real time!”, so each milestone counts from the next search.
| Tier | Bar text in game | Milestones 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 | Quests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nova Secrets | “Increased chance of Nova Stage Aniimo appearing” | +15% · +28% · +40% · +50% | 1st to 4th |
| Potential Secrets | “Increased chance to obtain Perfect” | +125% · +150% · +175% · +200% | 5th to 8th |
| Sparkling Secrets | “Sparkling Chance Increased” | +25% · +50% · +75% · +100% | 9th to 12th |
The first bar says “Nova Stage Aniimo”, not Dazmand. Dazmand is a Nova Stage Aniimo, and once the tier is full the summary card names it: “The probability of encountering Dazmand during searches is increased by 50%”, with the rule “Effect lasts for the event duration.” The Potential card reads “During searches, the chance of encountering a Perfect Dazmand is increased by 200%”, and it too “remains active for the duration of the event.”
Any quest counts towards the next milestone, whatever its tab. AniimoSync’s tally shows it: one catch quest, four Companions quests and one Trials quest took the account to 6/12 and Potential Secrets 2/4.
One correction to the video. At 4:27 AniimoSync says the “research center bonus has gone up to 150%”. The screen at that moment shows Potential Secrets 2/4 and “Boost: 150%”, which is the Perfect chance. The Dazmand encounter bonus stops at 50%.
What the percentages mean in odds is not on any screen, and the game does not say whether “increased by 200%” multiplies the base rate or adds to it. For scale only: our potential guide reads the game’s catch table as 0.8% Perfect for an ordinary wild Aniimo, and three times that is 2.4%, about one catch in 42. The Sparkling rate in the data files is 1 in 20,000, so even +100% leaves a Sparkling Dazmand near 1 in 10,000. Both are arithmetic on an assumption, not the event’s published odds.
AniimoSync’s order: eight quests before your second search
Catch one family, then clear every Companions and Trials quest before you press Search again: that is eight of the twelve quests, and it puts the +50% Dazmand and +200% Perfect bonuses on every search after it. This is the heart of AniimoSync’s video. “Do your quest before you use up all of your free searches,” AniimoSync says at 5:25, “otherwise you’re wasting your ability to actually find really good Dazmand.”
- Search once and catch the family. Three Dazmand tick “Catch a total of 3 Dazmand.” (1 of 12)
- Upload the catches at a Research Console and keep anything rated Good or better. The next section shows the screen.
- Put Dazmand in your party and cast its skills five times. No target is needed. (4 of 12)
- Use the Ultimate on a wild Aniimo. AniimoSync’s landed on a Lv.46 Budclaw, and the knockout also ticked the first Trials quest. (6 of 12)
- Defeat four more Aniimo with Dazmand deployed. Nova Secrets and Potential Secrets are now both 4/4. (8 of 12)
- Spend the remaining free searches, with both bonuses active.
Step three is the surprise of the video. AniimoSync was not sure casting at nothing would count, tried it, and got all three skill quests “without even fighting anyone”. The Dazmand in the video was level 48. Space the casts out: the video shows “Skill on cooldown.” and “Insufficient EP to use this skill.” when pressed back to back.
The Research Center then read 2/3 and the searches 4/5, with 2d 22h still on the reset timer. The last four quests, catching 5, 10 and 20 Dazmand and the Elite, all feed Sparkling Secrets, which only fills as you search. That order costs nothing: the catch quests have to wait for searches anyway.
Perfect Dazmand and Elite Dazmand: how to check what you caught
An Elite Dazmand is one rated Elite or Perfect, and you only see the rating, and only get the quest, when you upload the catch at a Research Console. AniimoSync’s first three were Good, Good and Common. AniimoSync unticked Good in the Release row before confirming, so only the Common was released; a note under the toggles adds that “Sparkling · Prismana · Alpha Aniimos will not be released.”
The second search gave Good, Common and Elite, and the Elite quest ticked only after that upload: at 6:01 the Elite Dazmand was already caught and the quest still read 0/1. What the four ratings mean for stats, and which to keep, is in our potential and personality guide.
No Perfect Dazmand turned up in six catches. Two more routes exist on paper. The 20-catch quest pays a golden egg, and the game’s data files contain a Perfect Dazmand Egg, Legendary, “Guaranteed to hatch into a Dazmand with Perfect potential.” AniimoSync calls the reward a perfect Dazmand egg and it is the likely match, but its tooltip is never opened and the icon in the files is the shared Perfect egg icon, not the golden one on screen, so treat it as unconfirmed; our egg list carries the data entry. The other route is an Umbral coat: the files give Dazmand the usual 1 in 3,000 Umbral rate, and an Umbral is always Perfect Potential.
Thunder Soul and Dazmand’s evolution
Thunder Soul is an Evolution Material paid for completing all five Catch Aniimo quests, which means 20 Dazmand and one Elite, and its tooltip says it enables “Dazmand’s branching evolution”. The full text: “Earned in the ‘Aniimo Discovery’ event. Holds the spirit of a Dazmand elite, enabling Dazmand’s branching evolution.” AniimoSync owned none at the start.
What it evolves is less clear than the name suggests. The game’s data files, build 1.0.0.7, list Dazmand as the end of its line with nothing after it: Pomegg branches into Pomawk or Dazmand. Read against that, the tooltip fits a Pomegg to Dazmand branch, the one route the files give for Dazmand. But the tooltip does not name the Aniimo you use it on, the files predate the event, and the video never uses the item. Until someone does, “branching evolution” is all that is confirmed.
Is Dazmand good? Skills, stats and the Lightning squad
AniimoSync’s verdict at 4:44: “Dazmand’s a beast. If you need an electricity team, Dazmand needs to be on that team,” for “great single target damage” and “great AoE”. The data files show why it fits every Lightning squad: most of its kit buffs the squad or stacks Lightning Debuff.
| Skill | Type | Power | EP | Effect, from the data files |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lightning Break | Combat | 54 | 20 | Attacks while break dancing |
| Thunder Sweep | Combat | 80 | 30 | Spinning kick, area damage, pulls targets in, raises the squad’s Lightning crit rate for 20s |
| Electricity Shock | Combat | 40 | 20 | Dash, 5 stacks of Lightning Debuff, Paralysis for 5s on a target already past 5 |
| Lightning Storm | Innate Ultimate | 150 | 0 | 12 hits in range, one Lightning Debuff stack each, can move while casting |
Its trait, Spotlight Moment, makes the first skill within 5 seconds of entering battle free of EP, on a 15 second cooldown. Base stats total 522: HP 100, Physical Attack 108, Magic Attack 55, Physical Defence 81, Magic Defence 90, Haste 88. Physical Attack is its highest. Thunder Sweep’s description says the crit buff “scales with the Aniimo’s stats” without naming which.
In our Fulmintis build guide, AniimoSync’s endgame squad is Fulmintis, Dazmand, Luminelle and Besauce, all Lightning, with Thunder Sweep supplying the crit. That guide called Dazmand gated, and this event is the gate. Load the four into the team builder to see the element coverage.
Aniimo Discovery rewards: confirmed and unconfirmed
Of the four Main Rewards, two are confirmed by name in the video, Thunder Soul and the Tumbler; the golden egg and the blue crystal are never hovered. Here is each one, where it comes from, and how sure we are.
| Main Reward | How you earn it | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Thunder Soul | All 5 Catch Aniimo quests | Confirmed, tooltip at 0:16 |
| Golden egg | Catch a total of 20 Dazmand | Not hovered; the data files have a Perfect Dazmand Egg |
| Blue crystal in a bubble | All 4 Aniimo Companions quests, x100 | Not hovered, name unknown |
| Tumbler | Catch quests, 12 in all (1, 1, 2, 3, then 5) | Confirmed on the “Item Obtained” screen at 2:53 |
The blue crystal on the Search cost chip, and on the counter in the top corner that read 22, is similar but has no bubble. The notice says paid searches use Vein Essence, so that counter is probably Vein Essence, but the screen never names it. How Sparkling colours work, the thing Sparkling Secrets is chasing, is on our Sparkling variants page.
