Aniimo Map: Idyll and the Whisperwake Isles

3980 markers across 56 layers: chests, Aniipods, eggs, Lumin Amber, puzzles, landmarks and challenges. The rail has two tabs. Markers turns the layers on and off, searches them by name and tracks what you have already collected, in your browser alone. Aniimo lists the 160 creatures placed on Idyll: pick one and the map draws its spawn zones, from 6,536 coordinates in the game's own data files, outlines the regions it is listed in and names each one with its level band, Lv. 5 to Lv. 60 across the 14 regions.

Also: the Astra city map, the Egg Heist map and the Whisperwake Isles map. Idyll is the continent. Astra is the city on it, mapped separately with 27 markers covering 16 shops and services, the fast-travel points and the Pathfinder Challenges inside the city. Open the map of Astra. Operation: Egg Heist is played on maps of its own, the Lost Isles with its 356 markers and the 25 layouts of the Lost Sanctum: open the Egg Heist map. The Whisperwake Isles of 1.1 Part 2 have one too: open the Whisperwake Isles map.

Aniimo map of Idyll drawn from the spawn zones of 159 Aniimo, each zone coloured by its Aniimo's element
Idyll as the game's spawn tables see it: 159 Aniimo, one dot per spawn zone, coloured by element. The land is the area those zones cover, not a drawn coastline.

Region names match the habitat field on every Aniidex entry, so a creature page tells you where to look and this page tells you what lives there. Region is only one of three spawn conditions: weather and time of day also decide what appears.

Every one of the 3980 markers on the Aniimo map of Idyll stands inside one of the 14 regions, so a region can be read as a route before you ride out to it: what is pinned there in total, how many chests and Aniipods, how many Alpha Aniimo, and how many Aniimo the official map lists. Beast Fang Ridge is the busiest region at 453 markers, Rosetower Woods holds the most chests at 107, and each region is played at its own band, from Lv. 5 to Lv. 60. The 4 areas of the Whisperwake Isles, opened by 1.1 Part 2, follow, counted the same way on their own map.

One row per region, in level order: the region name opens the map on it, the link under it the region’s guide.

The 14 regions of Idyll and the 4 areas of the Whisperwake Isles in level order, with the markers, chests, Aniipods, Lumin Amber, Blooms and Alpha Aniimo inside each outline and the number of Aniimo the game's map lists there.

The last column counts the Aniimo the official map lists in that region, and one creature is listed in several, so the rows add up to more listings than the 160 Aniimo placed on Idyll. Chests, Aniipods, Lumin Amber, Blooms and Alphas are five of the 56 layers in the rail: the rest, eggs, digging spots, the 20 gathering herbs and ores, are counted there and filtered the same way. The isles have no Aniipod layer, hence the dot, and a few marks on the small island east of them stand in no area. An Aniipod marker is a free capture device lying in the world, and every one in the game is listed in the Aniipod database; the eggs you pick up are in the egg list.

  1. How many markers are on the Aniimo map?

3980 markers across 56 layers, covering chests, Aniipods, eggs, Lumin Amber, puzzles, landmarks, transporters, challenges and collectibles on the continent of Idyll.

  2. How do I track what I have already found?

Click any marker and choose "Mark as found". Progress is stored in your own browser, so nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Tick "Hide found" on the Markers tab of the rail to clear collected markers off the map.

  3. Where do the map locations come from?

From the game's own data files, build 1.1.3846247. The base map is the client's own world map art, the markers are the marks the in-game map draws plus the chests, Aniipods, eggs and gathering points placed in the game's scene tables, the region outlines and level bands are its map blocks, and the Aniimo spawn zones come from its spawn tables.

  4. Where do Aniimo spawn on the map?

Open the Aniimo tab in the rail and pick a creature: the map draws the zones it is recorded in, from 6,536 spawn coordinates in the game's own data files, and the Locations panel lists every region it is found in with that region's level band. 160 Aniimo are placed on Idyll in all, 159 of them by the spawn tables. Spawns still depend on three independent conditions: region, weather and time of day. Several Dark-element Aniimo are nocturnal, and Prismana variants only appear during a rainbow weather state.

  5. What level are the Aniimo in each region?

Each of the 14 regions of Idyll is played at its own band, from Lv. 5 in the starting regions to Lv. 60 at the far end of the continent. The spawn tables carry coordinates but no levels, so a zone is read at the band of the region it sits in: pick an Aniimo in the Aniimo tab and every region it appears in is listed with its band, or click a region to see everything the official map lists there.

  6. Are the spawn zones exact spots?

No. Each blob is an area the game files record spawns inside, not a pixel a creature stands on. The coordinates are placed on this map by a fitted transform, so read a zone as "somewhere in here", pair it with the right weather and time of day, and expect to sweep the area rather than walk to a point.
