Salabask Family Egg in Aniimo: How to Get It from the Tale of Salabask Forest Quest

The Salabask Family Egg is the fixed reward of Tale of Salabask Forest, a Journey quest in Rosy Mirelands. Guslok plays all nine objectives in eight minutes, from the rolling Salabasks to the new home; the quest tables confirm the reward, the order and what the egg hatches.

The Salabask Family Egg in Aniimo is the fixed reward of the Rosy Mirelands quest “Tale of Salabask Forest”: complete its nine objectives, ending with “Talk to Lyle and Hoppy”, and the quest pays one Salabask Family Egg, which hatches a Salabask. The same payout carries 2,000 Safaris, 30 Glimmer, 30,000 Credits and 30 Sparkling Crystal. No other drop table lists the egg, and it is the only “Family Egg” item in the build.

The route is Guslok’s, from a video of 1 November 2026 recorded on the Spanish client, so the screenshots below carry Spanish text. Every name is given here in English, and in Spanish in the last table. YouTube served us no captions for it, so the order and the journal lines come from the footage, and the rewards, the hatch and the positions from the client’s tables. Figures from the game’s own data files, build 1.1.3846247, checked 2 November 2026.

How do you get the Salabask Family Egg in Aniimo?

You do the quest, and nothing else gives you the egg. “Tale of Salabask Forest” is a Journey quest in the chapter “Treasures of the Heart: Tale of Salabask Forest”, set in the Rosy Mirelands of Whisperwake Isles, which opened with the 1.1 Part 2 update on 29 October 2026. It has nine objectives, and Guslok plays them back to back in 7 minutes 56 seconds.

The order, as the quest tables list it:

  1. Talk to the Salabasks.
  2. Find Lyle.
  3. Talk to the Crocobask who just woke up.
  4. Look for Hoppy.
  5. Look for Hoppy again: the journal shows the line twice.
  6. Bring Hoppy to Lyle.
  7. Find a new habitat for the Salabasks.
  8. Place the Salabasks’ egg in their new home.
  9. Talk to Lyle and Hoppy.

8Place the Salabasks’ egg in their new home6:40 to 7:30
9Talk to Lyle and Hoppy7:30 to 7:56

One thing makes steps 4 and 5 shorter than they look. The quest tables tie both “Look for Hoppy” lines to the same condition: the “Talk to Hoppy” step of a second quest, The Egg Nest in Danger, has to be done. The video shows it happening exactly that way, so plan on finishing the two quests together.

Where does Tale of Salabask Forest start, and what level do you need?

It starts from a map clue in the Rosy Mirelands, the lake forest in the middle of Whisperwake Isles. Open the map and select Clue: The Rolling Salabasks; its objective is “Roll around with the Salabasks”. The map label on Guslok’s screen reads Lv.61~63, and the Crocobask at the heart of the quest is Lv.62. The quest tables name no level gate of their own.

0:37. Step 1, talking to the Salabasks: the rolling group answers a Twined player. Its two conversation variants are alternatives in the tables, so either one completes “Talk to the Salabasks”.

Do not walk up on foot. The client’s own advice for the clue is “Twine with a Salabask to join them”, and Guslok does exactly that before he starts: at 0:20 and 0:25 he opens the squad screen and slots a Salabask in, then Twines with it, and the HUD shows the Untwine prompt (“Desenlazar”) for the rest of the run. If you have none, Salabask spawns on 95 points of the area (on the map), and his squad opens with a Lv.65 Whirlbite. Whisperwake Isles itself needs Lv. 55 and the Trailblazer promotion, covered in our Whisperwake Isles guide.

Where is Lyle, and who are Lyle and Hoppy?

Lyle is the Salabasks’ boss. The game’s text describes him as the best roller of them all, who “often sleeps in the river nearby, looking like a big old log with red caps sprouting from his back”. He is a Crocobask now: he evolved in his sleep after a day of rolling, and that is the heart of the story. Hoppy, his partner, is a Mireling; in her own words, “we Mirelings are supposed to be the bigger bugs”. She blew up at him for rolling too long, flew off, came back, and did not recognise the evolved Lyle. Each thought the other had walked out.

1:02. Step 2, “Find Lyle” (“Encuentra a Lyle”), the journal line under the quest title. The marker floats over the water, where Lyle lies half submerged.

The step has no waypoint line to follow. A green search ring appears over the water, and Lyle is inside it. Guslok’s written description places the search in the Vein Abundance area; on screen the ring settles at 1:30, and the Crocobask’s nameplate reads Lailai el crocobask, Lv.62 at 1:38. “Lailai” is how the Spanish client spells Lyle on the nameplate; the English text, and the Spanish dialogue boxes, say Lyle.

Speaking to him is step 3. At 2:15 he is still talking to an absent partner, and only after a little encouragement does he ask for help finding her.

How do you find Hoppy, and what is The Egg Nest in Danger?

Hoppy is found through a second quest that you cannot skip. At 3:26 Guslok walks up to the mound of sweet goo beside the Salabask habitat, and a banner announces Viaje: El nido de huevos en peligro: The Egg Nest in Danger. The goo is the Sugarfish’s, and it has been creeping over the Salabasks’ egg nest since Lyle went missing. The client’s own tip for the Tale quest is “Try progressing the quest ‘Talk to Hoppy’ first”, and the tables confirm it: both “Look for Hoppy” objectives wait on that step.

3:26. The Egg Nest in Danger starts: the journey banner over a mound of sweet goo, with Salabasks circling it. This quest sits inside the Tale and shares its reward table.

In the tables the quest has five parts: hold back the goo with the Salabasks or play a game with them, uncover the truth about the “talking egg”, investigate behind the egg nest, talk to Hoppy twice, and finally take the Aniimo egg out of the nest. Behind it is a small mystery. The Salabasks tell you their boss has turned into a talking Aniimo egg and still gives orders: “Attention, everyone! I’m Lyle!” The client wants you Twined with a Salabask for this part, because only a member of the same family understands what the egg says.

3:35. The “talking egg” in its nest, guarded by a furious Salabask (“¡Protegeremos al jefe con…!”). The egg is the one you will carry to the new home.

It is not Lyle. A Mireling is hiding behind the egg. Hoppy came back to guard the nest, found Lyle gone, and, since the Salabasks only obey Lyle, put on his voice. At 4:30 the voice from the nest is labelled Mireling as it tells the group that “the boss is the cleverest Salabask there is”. That label is the clue the game wants you to catch: a Mireling’s voice, not a Salabask’s.

4:30. Step 5: the voice labelled “Mireling”. Hoppy is not a catchable Aniimo here; she is a story character, and she is what “Look for Hoppy” was looking for.

The game then lets you finish the whole second quest in one go. Hoppy decides to bring the egg and join the search, and you pick the egg up, which is the objective “Take the Aniimo Egg from the Salabasks’ egg nest”. That egg is a quest-only copy of the Salabask Family Egg: it holds one at a time, and its card says “A plain old Salabask-family Aniimo Egg. It doesn’t look like it can talk at all.”

Aniimo Lyle the Crocobask with a Mireling on its mossy back, the nameplate Lyle y Hoppy, and the objective Llévale a Hoppy a Lyle
5:52. Step 6, “Bring Hoppy to Lyle” (“Llévale a Hoppy a Lyle”), with the pair’s shared nameplate “Lyle y Hoppy” over the Crocobask. Hoppy knows her partner by his voice, even though he looks nothing like before.

Where is the Salabasks’ new habitat, and where do you put the egg?

Once the pair are together, the objective is Find a new habitat for the Salabasks. The game’s archive text describes the best home as having “water, sunlight, freedom from foes, and above all else, friends beside you”. The quest tables list three candidate points near Lyle’s resting place, named “Search for a Habitat” I, II and III. Measured from the point the data labels as Lyle’s position trigger, the first sits about 29 m away and the second about 10 m, and both are marked in the files as the wrong places. The third is the right one, about 68 m away, and the objective completes when you reach it.

6:15. Step 7: “Busca un nuevo hábitat para los salabasks”, with a waypoint at 29 m, which matches the first decoy point in the tables. Swim on past it.

That is our reading of the position table, and it is worth stating plainly: the files carry the three points and their flags, but not a screenshot of the right one. Guslok reaches it at 6:35, where his Salabask says “¡Lo encontré! Agua, sol y…” (“I found it! Water, sun and…”). To walk it yourself, open the Whisperwake map on the Rosy Mirelands and start from Lyle.

Then comes step 8. Next to the new nest, open the prompt that reads Elige el objeto para enviar and pick the Salabask Family Egg; the slot counts 0/1 until you do. The tables show the quest consuming one copy of the quest egg here.

6:45. The hand-over prompt at the new nest: the Salabask egg item (“familia salabask”) and an empty 0/1 slot. Confirm, and the egg settles into the nest.

Step 9 is the last conversation. Lyle tells the colony that the new home has sun, water and room to roll, and that nobody has to worry about the sweet goo any more. Finishing it ends the quest, and the quest card closes on the line Guslok’s client prints, “Jugábamos juntos de pequeños…” (“We played together when we were young…”).

What does Tale of Salabask Forest pay?

Finishing the quest pays a fixed bundle, and the numbers agree with the description Guslok wrote under his video:

RewardAmount
Safaris2,000
Glimmer30
Credits30,000
Sparkling Crystal30
Salabask Family Egg1

The Salabask Family Egg card reads: “An Aniimo egg from the Salabask family’s habitat in the Rosy Mirelands, nurtured under the protection of the Vein and the Aeon.” Its use line says it goes into an Outpost Hatchinator or a Home Hatchinator. Our egg database lists it under Family Eggs. Like the Prismana Sherro Egg, it is a quest reward.

Two smaller rewards sit around the bundle. The last objective, “Talk to Lyle and Hoppy”, pays an item of its own, the Archival Chip - New Life, Old Allies, an archive whose text reads “For Salabasks, the best home has water, sunlight, freedom from foes, and above all else, friends by their side.” And each of the clues and rumours inside the chain, the Rolling Salabasks clue on the first map panel among them, carries 300 Safaris and 10 Glimmer, so a full run also collects a few of those along the way.

What does the Salabask Family Egg hatch?

A Salabask. The egg’s hatch table has one entry, so the species is fixed: the Basic Form, no Prismana or other variant. Our egg database files it as Legendary, with a base hatch time of 300 minutes (5 hours) before any Hatchinator speed-up. What the tables do not fix is potential: the entry names a species and nothing else, so hatch it as you would any egg. Our egg hatching guide covers what Aniipods change.

Crocobask is Lyle’s species and the next stage: it needs a Salabask at level 62 and a Sprout Stone. Lyle himself, Lv.62, is that evolution done.

If you want a Salabask rather than the egg, you can catch one in the Rosy Mirelands; the egg is the quest’s own reward. Both are covered by the region page.

Confirmed versus inferred. The nine objectives, the reward, the hatch and the three habitat points are in the client’s tables; the screens, the order of events and the timestamps are Guslok’s. The 68 m figure to the right site is our own arithmetic on the positions in those tables, taken as metres because the 29 m waypoint on Guslok’s screen at 6:15 matches the first decoy’s distance.

  1. Can you catch Hoppy the Mireling in Aniimo?

No. Hoppy is a quest character: the game’s text calls her a Mireling, a small ally that lives on a Salabask’s head, and the Aniidex has no Mireling entry. She is also not Hoptail, a separate Aniimo. In Tale of Salabask Forest she is what you find behind the egg nest, and the story ends with her and Lyle in the new home.

  2. Can you get a second Salabask Family Egg?

We found no second source. The only reward table that lists the egg is the one for Tale of Salabask Forest, and its source line on the item reads “Explore Idyll”. Whether the quest can be repeated is not shown in the tables. If you want more Salabask, they spawn wild in the Rosy Mirelands.

  3. Do you need a Salabask in your squad for Tale of Salabask Forest?

It is the client’s recommendation, not a stated requirement. The rolling clue says “Twine with a Salabask to join them”, and the talking egg is only understood by a member of the same family. Guslok slots one into his squad at 0:20 and Twines with it for the whole run.

  4. What is the difference between the two Salabask Family Egg items?

There are two items with the same name. The one you take from the old nest in The Egg Nest in Danger is a quest copy: you hold one at a time and the quest consumes it at the new habitat. The one the quest pays at the very end is the real item, which goes into a Hatchinator and hatches a Salabask.
