Best Hypnyto Team in Aniimo: The Wind Squad, and Basic or Prismana
Augiesaint cleared Dark Training on Trial in 6:27 with Hypnyto, Mesmerowl, Tromber and Eklue. StatWise explains why the Basic form does the same job as the Prismana, and Aiueo’s test puts a 404,579 ultimate on Ferocious Fang. Every support number is read off their screens and checked against the game.

The squad, the Holo-Battle footage and the support screens on this page come from Augiesaint’s video of 2 November 2026. The Basic or Prismana analysis and the rotation checks come from StatWise’s video of 4 November 2026 (youtube.com/watch?v=2jAUGHyJi6g), and the Fang and Sash damage test from Aiueo’s video of 30 October 2026 (youtube.com/watch?v=HxjoUGeS228); their frames carry their names
The best Hypnyto team in Aniimo is an all-Wind squad of Hypnyto, Mesmerowl, Tromber and Eklue: Hypnyto deals the damage, Mesmerowl pays for its skills in energy, Tromber adds crit damage and Wind damage, and Eklue marks the target and strips its Wind resistance. Augiesaint cleared Dark Training on Trial difficulty with that squad in 6 minutes 27 seconds and calls it “the number one wind DPS team right now”. The same four make up StatWise’s damage-focused example, and Aiueo’s damage test runs three of them.
This page is about the three Aniimo around Hypnyto and how they play together. Hypnyto’s own stats and held items are on the Hypnyto build page. It is based on three videos: Augiesaint’s squad guide of 2 November 2026, StatWise’s Basic or Prismana analysis of 4 November and Aiueo’s Fang and Sash test of 30 October. A timestamp with no name is Augiesaint’s.
Figures from the game’s own data files, build 1.1.3846247 (1.1 Part 2), checked 5 November 2026. Numbers read off a creator’s screen carry the video timestamp.
What is the best Hypnyto team in Aniimo?
Augiesaint’s answer, from 1:32: Hypnyto with a Heartseeker Pendant, Mesmerowl with a Spirited Feather, and Tromber and Eklue with a Ferocious Fang each. His point is that the supports cost almost nothing. Eklue has no Capability Awakening points at all, and Tromber is trained only because he uses it in other squads.
| Slot | Aniimo | Job | What it adds | His item |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hypnyto | Damage | Feather array; 18% Crit Rate at three feathers | Heartseeker Pendant +15 |
| 2 | Mesmerowl | Energy | Energy recovery +21%, 38% on a broken target | Spirited Feather +15 |
| 3 | Tromber | Crit damage | Crit Damage +44%; party Wind damage +25% | Ferocious Fang +15 |
| 4 | Eklue | Weakness Mark | Wind damage +23%; lower Crit and Wind resistance | Ferocious Fang +15 |
The stage matters. Dark Training is the Dark room of the Holo-Battle Sim, and Trial is its top difficulty: level 73, 16 floors, an Alpha Stellarys on floor 9 and Rookey as the Omega on floor 16, open from Trailblazer II. The game suggests bringing Wind and Light, and both hit Dark for 1.6×. Its environmental effect reads “Damage dealt -10%, but Crit Damage +40%.” StatWise picks this up at 10:34: a stage that adds crit damage flatters a crit squad, so the clear proves the squad works there, not that it wins every fight.
The second number Augiesaint quotes comes from Holo-Battle Interlink, the four-player co-op mode: a player on his stream, fully maxed, averaged 97,400 DPS on this squad with a contracted Heartseeker Pendant, “the highest damage we have seen”. Interlink is where the squad is cheapest to field, because of one rule the game states plainly: “You can only Twine and battle with the Aniimo in Slot 1. Aniimo in Slots 2/3/4 can only provide [S Core Skill] support.” Augiesaint picked his three supports for their core skills and traits, which is all Interlink lets them bring.
The Aniimo Wind team, buff by buff
The squad works because every support buff is either Wind damage or crits, and Hypnyto’s kit is Wind except for Gleamwing Chase. Here is every buff on the four kits, with the number on Augiesaint’s screens.
| Source | Effect | Lasts | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hypnyto, Refracted Feather Array (trait) | Crit Rate +6% per feather, 18% with three | 15 s per feather | A Basic Attack hit, once every 3 s |
| Mesmerowl, Windveil Harvest (trait) | 1.5 Energy to the ally who deals Wind crit damage | Instant | At most once within 0.5 s |
| Mesmerowl, Mesmerwave Recharge (core) | Team Energy recovery rate +21%, or 38% on a Bewildered or broken target | 20 s | 0 EP, 18 s cooldown |
| Tromber, Waltz (core) | Crit Damage +44% | 20 s | 0 EP, 15 s cooldown |
| Tromber, Zephyr’s Breath (ultimate) | Wind damage +25% for every party member | 30 s | 100 Ultimate points |
| Tromber, Spiral Blade | Wind Resistance cut by 3% per hit, up to 5 stacks | 20 s | The second explosion must hit |
| Eklue, Detect Weakness (core) | Weakness Mark: Crit resistance cut by 17% | 20 s | Hold the weak point 0.8 s |
| Eklue, Judgment Storm (trait) | Wind damage +23% for the whole team | 20 s | Eklue applies a debuff |
| Eklue, Target Weakness (ultimate) | Weakness Mark on every target in view; Wind Resistance cut by 29% | 30 s | 100 Ultimate points |
Two pairs land on the same word. Zephyr’s Breath and Judgment Storm both raise Wind damage, Target Weakness and Spiral Blade both lower Wind resistance, so they only pay off on a Wind attacker, and that is the whole case for a mono-Wind squad (the rest of the element is on our Wind page). The crit half matters as much: Detect Weakness lowers crit resistance, Waltz raises crit damage, and Mesmerowl’s trait only refunds energy on Wind crits, which Hypnyto’s feathers make more likely.
How the squad feeds Hypnyto’s feather array
Hypnyto’s trait drops a Refracting Feather behind the target when a Basic Attack lands, at most once every 3 s; three can exist at once, each lasting 15 s and adding 6% Crit Rate. Dazzling Prismglare then links three feathers into a Refracted Feather Array that lasts 8 s and hits every 0.3 s for 75 × 0.12 Might, but only targets on the edge of the span: up to 26 hits per array. Featherblade Chase (63 Might, 20 EP, 1 s cooldown) drops two more feathers and moves an existing array under the target’s feet. The full kit is on the Hypnyto fiche.
StatWise turns that into an opener at 2:00: one Basic Attack that connects, then Featherblade Chase, then check that three feathers are really on the ground before Prismglare. Two timers trip people up. Prismglare’s cooldown is 5 s but its array lasts 8 s, so pressing it again early wastes energy; and when the boss walks off, Chase relocates the array, so there is no need to wait beside an empty triangle. StatWise keeps Featherblade Chase over Gleamwing Chase for Wind damage. Gleamwing is the Light option, 30 Might against 63 with a 15 s cooldown, and it earns the slot only when a debuff is what ends your runs, because it cleanses the caster. The game’s skill table ties it to the Prismana form: Prismana Hypnyto unlocks it.
Mesmerowl: why the squad never runs dry
Mesmerowl is the energy engine: its trait refunds energy on Wind crits and its core skill raises the whole squad’s Energy recovery rate. Windveil Harvest gives 1.5 Energy to the ally who lands a Wind crit, at most once within 0.5 s, so 3 Energy a second at most. An array ticking every 0.3 s with 18% extra Crit Rate is close to the ideal trigger, which is what Augiesaint means at 2:34 by “really, really strong regen”.
Mesmerwave Recharge is the core skill, with no EP cost and an 18 s cooldown: team Energy recovery +21% on hit, raised to 38% when it hits a Bewildered target or one in a Break State, for 20 s. StatWise’s timing tip (6:40): a broken target is the window for the stronger version, so press it then and go back to Hypnyto. The ultimate, Scatterbrained (100 Might), confuses for 3 s and restored 30.8 Energy per target hit on the screen StatWise shows. Wind Bomb Therapy bounces up to five times and each return heals the squad for 5% of Mesmerowl’s Max HP; the 25% heal Augiesaint mentions at 6:00 is those five bounces added up.
Of the three supports, Mesmerowl is the one Augiesaint would contract first, “almost as good as Somni Wings” on the first line. StatWise agrees it is the contract to consider if energy is your limit, after testing the loop without it. Mesmerowl is caught in Crescent Bay (map) or evolved from a Hypnowl at Lv.57 with a Gust Stone, the same branching line that gives Hypnyto.
Tromber: 44% Crit Damage and a 25% Wind damage ultimate
Tromber’s job is Waltz, its core skill: Crit Damage +44% for 20 s on Augiesaint’s screen, for no EP and a 15 s cooldown. He picked it because Hypnyto is built around crits, and in Interlink Waltz is the one Tromber skill the squad gets.
The rest of the kit counts only when you can switch to Tromber, so in the open world and the Holo-Battle Sim. Zephyr’s Breath, the ultimate, raises every party member’s Wind damage by 25% for 30 s; Augiesaint admits at 8:14 that he forgets to use it, then says “don’t sleep on that”. Spiral Blade’s second explosion cuts Wind Resistance by 3% per hit for 20 s, five stacks, so 15% in all.
Tromber is the one support Augiesaint has invested in: Capability Awakening 13 of 30, ATK at 18, Perfect potential, Ferocious Fang +15. He skips its contract, which only adds the March heal, and says an alpha Tromber has that already. Tromber evolves from Chirpi at Lv.18 with a Gust Stone and is caught in the Argent Strait (map). It is also in six of Wurps’s seven Chaos Egg Heist squads, one of them built on Hypnyto.
Eklue: the Weakness Mark and +23% Wind damage
Eklue does two things with one button: Detect Weakness marks the target and cuts its Crit resistance, and that debuff triggers Judgment Storm, Wind damage +23% for the whole team for 20 s. On Augiesaint’s screen Detect Weakness reads 17%, and its amplifier line says 12.0% plus 1.13% for every 100 ATK, up to 21.0%. Judgment Storm reads 23%, with a 28% ceiling on its own amplifier line at 7:25. That ATK scaling is why he gives Eklue a Ferocious Fang.
StatWise adds the catch (7:30): the mark is not instant. The tooltip asks you to keep the target’s weak point in the middle of the sonar for 0.8 s; switch away early and nothing lands, which is why the squad feels clumsy against a target that will not hold still. Augiesaint skips Eklue’s contract in PvE. He reads it as applying the mark in 0.4 s instead of 0.8 and cutting the target’s damage dealt by 5%, more a PvP perk than a damage one.
The ultimate, Target Weakness, marks every target in view for 30 s and cuts Wind Resistance by 29%, up to 35% on its amplifier line; Arc Strike then stuns marked targets for 2.5 s. One thing his screens show that he does not say: his Eklue sits at ATK 8 in Capability Awakening (7:35), and the Fang’s Tier 2 line doubles only “if ATK is above 15”, so on that Eklue the line gives +10% Damage Amp, not 20%. Tromber, at 18, gets the doubled line. Eklue evolves from Eko at Lv.25 with a Gust Stone and is caught in Cloudreach Falls and the Forest of Falling Stars (map).
The rotation: supports first, then three feathers
StatWise’s order (7:48) is to land the support effects first, get the recovery buff running, and only then build Hypnyto’s three feathers and the array. Applied to this squad’s kits, that gives:
- Eklue: Detect Weakness, held on the weak point for 0.8 s. The mark triggers Judgment Storm.
- Mesmerowl: Mesmerwave Recharge, on a broken target when you can, for the 38% version.
- Tromber: Waltz; outside Interlink, Zephyr’s Breath once its 100 points are full.
- Hypnyto: one Basic Attack, Featherblade Chase, three feathers checked, Dazzling Prismglare.
- Featherblade Chase to move the array under a target that walks away, and Bewinged Kaleido-Eye to drag the group onto it.
The ultimate is the squad’s positioning tool. It pulls targets towards a point 8 m in front, detonates after 1 s for 165 Might and applies Confused for 3 s, “a little mind control” in Augiesaint’s words. StatWise’s warning (5:22): the point is in front of you, so face the group before you press it, and the drag works on monsters only, since players are not forced to follow. When a run still fails, his checklist (12:20) says where to look:
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| No triangle | The feathers: a missed hit, a changed target or feathers that expired |
| A triangle doing little | Its position: the enemy has to cross the edges |
| Long pauses between casts | Energy and support timing, Mesmerwave Recharge first |
| Dying during setup | The incoming attack, or your defensive slot |
| A clean rotation that still falls short | Only now, more damage investment |
Fang, Sash or Pendant on Hypnyto: what the squad changes
The three creators do not agree on Hypnyto’s item, and the squad is part of the reason. The game’s own recommendation and every item tier are on the Hypnyto build page; this section is only what each creator ran in this squad and why.
Augiesaint runs a Heartseeker Pendant “for the crit build”, and the 97,400 DPS player had it contracted. That contract is his first recommendation: it enhances Dazzling Prismglare so the array’s edge hits gain an additional 20% Crit Rate. He still meant to test the Breathbinder Sash before committing (4:40).
Aiueo did the test on an Alpha Glameep at Lv.65 with a Prismana Hypnyto, and the party screen at 2:30 shows Hypnyto, Eklue, Tromber and Glacy: the same core with a healer in Mesmerowl’s seat. The damage overlays, Sash against Fang, both at +15, labelled by Aiueo’s own chapters:
| Aiueo’s run | Breathbinder Sash +15 | Ferocious Fang +15 | Fang ahead by |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Team” chapter, Dazzling Prismglare hit | 8,617 (2:10) | 11,645 (2:55) | 35.1% |
| “Team” chapter, ultimate | 208,518 (2:20) | 281,800 (3:05) | 35.1% |
| “Full Combo” chapter, ultimate | 294,567 (4:05) | 404,579 (4:50) | 37.3% |
Aiueo’s reasoning (5:49 onward): at +15 the Sash gives 20% Crit Rate, a Momentum stack every 3 s and 33% Crit Rate per stack, 99% for 3 s with three, the excess turning into Crit Damage; the Fang gives 20% Damage Amp, 0.7 ATK per level (42 at level 60), ATK +2, and a Tier 2 Damage Amp of 10% that doubles above 15 ATK, so 40% Damage Amp in all. “I would rather have a better balance of crit rate, attack, and damage amp instead of investing almost everything into critical stats.” Our reading: in this squad that argument gets stronger, because the feathers, Waltz and the Weakness Mark already push crits, and the Fang adds the multiplier none of the supports gives.
StatWise is the cautious voice (8:57 to 10:43). Fang is the practical start if you already have a developed one, but read its level, because a low-upgrade Fang “is not providing everything shown in a maxed item demonstration”. The Sash rewards watching which skill consumes the stacks, since a setup skill can eat the Momentum meant for the ultimate. And neither Augiesaint’s Pendant clear nor Aiueo’s test proves one item better everywhere. His test protocol: same enemy, buffs, contract, sequence and starting energy, repeated runs, and a whole damage window rather than one lucky crit.
Basic or Prismana Hypnyto: which one to raise?
Raise the one you have. Basic and Prismana Hypnyto have the same base stats and the same skills bar one, and the squad above does not depend on the Light element. That is StatWise’s conclusion (12:40), and the game agrees: both forms read HP 103, ATK 130, DEF 70, M. DEF 70, REGEN 97 and BREAK 50, 520 in total, as the Prismana Hypnyto fiche shows.
The differences are how you get it and the element. The free Standard Edition of the Companion Handbook gives a Hypnyto Egg; the paid Advanced Edition gives the Prismana Hypnyto Egg with Perfect Potential, both until 9 December 2026, and the notice says this Prismana egg returns through Home gameplay in Season 3 (see the battle pass guide and the Prismana guide). Skills keep their own element whatever the body: Featherblade Chase, Dazzling Prismglare and the ultimate are Wind on both forms, Gleamwing Chase is Light on both. What Light changes is what hits Hypnyto:
| Attack element | Into Basic (Wind) | Into Prismana (Light and Wind) |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning | 1.6× | 1.6× |
| Light | 1.6× | 1× |
| Dark | 0.625× | 1× |
| Wind | 0.625× | 0.625× |
| Fire, Grass, Water | 1× | 0.625× |
| Ice, Earth | 1× | 1× |
Against a two-element defender the game multiplies both factors, so Prismana loses the Light weakness and gains three resistances, but trades Basic’s Dark resistance for a neutral 1×. That last line bites on the very stage Augiesaint cleared: seven of the nine Aniimo in Dark Training’s Trial roster are Dark, and so are Stellarys and Rookey, which Basic Hypnyto takes at 0.625× and Prismana at 1×. His Hypnyto was a Prismana anyway. And as StatWise says at 4:38, you do not need Light to hit Dark hard: Wind into Dark is already 1.6×. The full chart is on the element page.
If you are missing one of the three
Keep Hypnyto and the Wind buffs, and replace the slot whose job you can cover another way. Three alternatives on record, each from a different source:
- Aiueo’s party during the item test: Hypnyto, Eklue, Tromber and Glacy, a Water and Ice healer where Mesmerowl would be.
- Wurps’s Chaos Egg Heist squad: Hypnyto, Fulmintis, Somniwing and Tromber, with the Sash on Hypnyto and a swap to Fulmintis after the ultimate (his squads).
- The game’s own pick: Hypnyto’s in-game build panel pairs it with Melloblum, “Pairs best in the field”, and the build page fills the other slots from base stats.
StatWise’s fallback (8:33): if a fourth damage support makes the rotation cumbersome, a familiar defensive or recovery support is fine while you learn the array, “a consistency recommendation, not a claim it beats Eklue’s damage”. You can load the four-Wind squad, or any of these, in the Team Builder, and compare it with the other squads on the best teams page.
Where the videos and the game differ
Almost nowhere on numbers: every tooltip value above matches the game’s text, and the differences are names, two roundings and one boss label.
- The captions mangle the names (“Hyponetto”, “Trober”, “Eglue”, “Higus pendant”); the screens say Hypnyto, Tromber, Eklue and Heartseeker Pendant.
- Aiueo’s 37.4% Fang lead rounds the totals: 404,579 against 294,567 is 37.3%.
- Augiesaint reads the Mesmerowl contract as about 11% more recovery. On screen, 21% becomes 32%, 11 points, and the broken-target line goes only from 38% to 43%.
- The Victory screen’s boss bar says “Alpha Rookey” on floor 16, where the objective and the game’s Holo-Battle table make Rookey the Omega; Stellarys is the Alpha, on floor 9.
- Augiesaint is unsure where alpha Tromber eggs come from (“correct me if I’m wrong”), so this page does not repeat the place.
- The in-game build panel recommends Ferocious Fang and Melloblum for Hypnyto; Augiesaint’s squad uses a Heartseeker Pendant and no Melloblum. Both are choices, not errors.
