Aniimo Launch Trailer Breakdown: Every Hidden Detail
The Gamescom trailer confirmed the dates and quietly showed far more: a crystal-like form nobody has named, a brand-new squirrel Aniimo and its evolution, a green Prismana Fulmintis that is not a recolor, and full house building. WOLF went through it frame by frame.

This year at Gamescom, Aniimo finally gave us a release date: PC, Xbox and PlayStation players get the game on 16 September, and mobile players are a week behind on the 23rd. And with that announcement came a brand-new trailer packed with new forms, new RV and Homeland building, and a ton of things to break down.
The short version of what is hiding in it: a crystal-like form nobody has named yet, spotted on at least three different Aniimo. A brand-new squirrel Aniimo, with a glimpse of its evolution. A green Prismana Fulmintis that is not just a recolor. A Waleetle that traded sleek for biker. And full house building in the Homeland.
So today we are diving in and checking out everything hidden in the latest Aniimo trailer, frame by frame. Let's get into it.
The announcement itself
The trailer's headline is the one the whole community was waiting for, and it matches everything already confirmed: launch on 16 September for PC and consoles, 23 September for iOS and Android. The rest of the trailer is where it gets interesting, because Pawprint tucked a remarkable amount of unannounced content between the beauty shots.
It opens on a cute little Emberpup watching a comet cross the sky, except that comet is actually a new Celestis stage, one we had glimpsed in the Xbox and PlayStation battle-pass trailers a few weeks back. Then a crowd of Aniimo sprints through the Forest of Falling Stars: multiple Celestis, what looks like a Flutternym, and one of my favorites, Inferlupa, with a Dreaple floating by.
The brand-new squirrel Aniimo
Then we meet a completely new Aniimo: a little squirrel guy and his whole squad. They stack on top of each other to reach higher spots, basically Monkeys-in-a-Barrel come to life. It was in none of the betas and it is not in the Aniilog yet.
It shows up again later, and this is the part to slow down for: in the Egg Heist scene, running up the steps behind the players, we get what looks like its evolution: two tails now, running on two legs. Deeper into the gameplay footage its attacks read like a Break kit. Nothing official on either of those yet, that is my read of the frames.
And while we are on new faces: tucked into the back of the same scene there is an Eklue form that looks super fluffy, maybe a cold-climate variant. Aniimo already ships seven form families, so regional variants like that would fit the existing pattern.
The mystery crystal form
Here is the trailer's biggest open question. We see Melloblum transition into a form that was in none of the betas, and the same treatment appears on multiple Aniimo throughout the trailer. It is not Prismana. It is definitely not Umbral, which the dev letter describes as a darker coloration. This is something completely new, and the look is crystalline.
The sightings, in order: an orange crystal Inferlupa, then later a white-or-light-purple one with a proper crystal crown, easy to miss on a first watch. An Infergon form change mid-fight, blue and purple with crystal-like talons, a gold jaw plate and chest piece, honestly way cooler than the normal orange-and-red, with the same energy the old Darkler versions had back in Beta 2. And near the end, two Infergon versions side by side: one clearly crystal, more red, defined lines, wings refracting light, the other the purple fight version.
Two theories worth holding loosely. One: these are all one new form family with colour variations, maybe item-driven. Two: the crowned Inferlupa is the promised Regal Form, the reward Inferlupa won in the community vote, and it does have a crown-ish look. No confirmation either way.
Honest personal take, and I might be in the minority: I do not love it. It gives me Pokémon Terastallization vibes. It looks better than "put a goofy hat on them and call it a day", but I am not sure about the idea in general. The chest piece and bone-collar look on Inferlupa are gorgeous though.
And one more for the collection, easy to miss: what looks like the same crystal treatment on a Helgon in full flight.
Prismana oddities
Three Prismana moments in this trailer do not add up, in the best way.
First: Prismana Fulmintis, but green. Normally it is red, orange and white, and even base Fulmintis is white and gold. Zoomed in, the blades and wing patterns are different too, so this is not just a recolor.
Second: the player triggers a Prismana event and a Prismana Glynsera spawns, a creature that was insanely hard to get in the beta. And it is wearing a colour scheme we have never seen: blue, with stripes down its back, where the version the game currently has is red and pink. Another Prismana that apparently exists in more than one palette.
Third: Prismana Grizbo from Beta 3 is normally white with a pink cloud. The one in this trailer is black and white. Between these and the green Fulmintis, either Prismana forms have variants now, or something bigger changed in the system since the version we documented.
Houses in the Homeland
One of the best parts of the entire trailer: the Homeland scene where they build a full-blown house. Not crop plots and crafting tables, an actual house. This lines up with the dev letter, which promised a multi-area Home map with house building and a larger furniture catalogue; the trailer also shows a windmill and a water wheel among the new pieces.
Some of the gardens people built in the beta were already insane, so I know exactly what happens when this community gets walls and a roof. I cannot wait.
The details they snuck in
The devs tucked things into the six minutes of gameplay after the trailer proper, thinking we would not notice. Come on. You know better.
- Emberpup versus Bonesky, the ultimate rivals, get a great shot together. I am team Emberpup all day.
- Beach Aniimo everywhere: Chirpi, Fahloo, Reefish, and in the background Rainstorm Coraliz, one of the coolest designs in the game, swimming through the ground like water.
- Hoverboards riding over water. Could they always do that? I never tried in the beta.
- Twining with Prismana Fulmintis, still one of the best designs of the last beta, and more Prismana in the city shots, including Blazen.
- A Waleetle redesign or new evolution that trades the sleek red look for a tough biker one. Straight-up Ghost Rider energy, and it looks incredible.
- The gameplay UI looks simplified, less clutter on screen than the beta build.
- New catch feedback: audio callouts like "Lucky" and "Super Lucky". Stat boosts? Potential rolls? No clue yet.
- Tumblers get a lot of screen time. They are cool, but after the first one you get the idea.
- And one creature I can only describe as a Ditto from the 90s anime. What is this thing? Just happy to be here, man. It got a genuine laugh out of me.
The fight scenes deserve a mention of their own, because these animators know how to make combat look good; the sequence ends with Somniwing and the squad teaming up on Infergon before the date card hits.
So, what do you think? Sold? Still hesitant? Or itching to jump in day one and forget what grass feels like? If you spotted something I missed, I want to know. I will be streaming from day one to dig through everything Pawprint has been saving for launch. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for watching. WOLF OUT.
