The Core effect is the same at all 3 rarities: Grants a shield equal to 4% of max HP for 5s after taking damage 10 times. What changes with the rarity is the combat power, the size of the Base effect and how many energy effects are unlocked.

Base effect
HP +10%
The flat stat the item grants on its own, applied the moment it is equipped. It is +3% at Rare, +5% at Epic, +10% at Legendary.
Core effect
Grants a shield equal to 4% of max HP for 5s after taking damage 10 times.
The item’s signature line, and the half that decides which Aniimo wants it. It does not change with the rarity.
How to use the Heritage Amulet
The Core effect counts hits taken rather than damage dealt: every tenth hit grants a shield worth 4% of max HP for five seconds. Since the shield scales with max HP, the HP Base effect feeds it directly, and the item works best where damage arrives in small, frequent hits.
6 other carried items share the HP Base effect: Giant Tortoise Shell, Lightning Needle, Marching Flask, Nature's Breath, Rekindling Feather, Seeds of Spring. The Core effect is what separates them.
