Core effect

Each level of the equipped Aniimo grants an additional 0.8 points of Physical Defense (P.DEF) and Magic Defense (M.DEF).

The item’s signature line, and the half that decides which Aniimo wants it. It does not change with the rarity.

The Core effect adds 0.8 Physical Defense and 0.8 Magic Defense for each level, on top of an HP Base effect. Nothing here raises damage: it is the defensive counterpart to the Fang and the Claw, for an Aniimo you want standing rather than hitting.

6 other carried items share the HP Base effect: Heritage Amulet, Lightning Needle, Marching Flask, Nature's Breath, Rekindling Feather, Seeds of Spring. The Core effect is what separates them.

Aniidex

None of the 88 in-game recommended builds on this site lists the Giant Tortoise Shell yet, so there is no Aniimo to name here: its HP +10% Base effect points it at Aniimo built to stay standing, and this section fills itself in the moment a build panel picks it up.
