What is confirmed about playing with other people
Aniimo is online and cross-platform. Cross-play is confirmed between all five launch platforms, and friend lists carry across them, so a PS5 player and a phone player are in the same pool rather than in parallel versions of the same game.
Cross-progression sits alongside it on a unified account, which is a different feature solving a different problem: cross-play decides who you can play with, cross-progression decides where your own save lives.
Egg Heist is the headline multiplayer mode
The clearest multiplayer content documented so far is Egg Heist — a three-player real-time PvPvE raid set in the Lost Isles, built around stealing eggs, with a Diamond variant as its highest documented difficulty tier.
It is not a side mode. Eggs feed the Hatchinator, which is the route to high-Potential creatures, so Egg Heist sits on the main progression path rather than beside it. That places multiplayer closer to the centre of the game than the question usually assumes. The Prismana and Egg Heist breakdown covers what was observed in the closed beta.
Can you play Aniimo solo?
Yes. The open world, capture loop, Twining and evolution systems are all playable alone. What is unclear is how much of the endgame assumes a group — Egg Heist is documented as three-player, and whether a solo or matchmade route exists into it has not been published.
What has not been published
- Open-world party size. No number is on record for how many players can share the field outside Egg Heist.
- PvP beyond Egg Heist. Egg Heist is PvPvE. Whether a dedicated arena or ranked mode exists separately is unannounced.
- Matchmaking and regions. Nothing published on how groups are formed or whether play is region-locked.
Those stay TBD here rather than being filled with what comparable games do.
